@XG247: How many of you have played Modern Warfare 3? Now how many of you haven't touched the campaign? Call of Duty is now known for its expansive multiplayer and as such, it's possible a multiplayer only experience may be inbound.
I like the Call of Duty campaigns, I would be very sad to see them go.
I could see them releasing a seperate Call of Duty product. So you'd just have a multiplayer version of the game. As well as the ongoing 'story version'.
I havent liked the COD campaigns since COD 1 but I know that there are alot of people who like them. My friends online were talking about it being pretty good, so im sure they wouldnt be too thrilled to see it go. but Im sure that them and I would not mind buying a only MP COD since we mostly play the multiplayer, as long as it is made known that it is multiplayer only. I probably wont buy another COD for a few years, since I bought this one as my first since COD 4 so it is fresh and fun to me. I dont feel burnt out from playign all the previous ones. I wouldnt mind a all multiplayer COD if they included like 25-30 maps or something, but I have a feeling they would just not make a SP an not add a bunch of extra maps or anything, so it would probably just be like the COD multiplayer n ow without a SP, and thats taking value out of it for many people who enjoy the SP. edit-- after all, how would the sell a bunch of DLC if the released a multiplayer only game with 25+ maps?
If its just as bad as mw3 then I will pray for it.
um isnt it already like that?
Actually it seems to be the single player thats recieved a lot of the praise in this installment. I think you'd be surprised, even heavily scripted, set piece after set piece, a lot of people do enjoy the "ride".
If it means the game costing me $40 then go ahead. I don't want them to remove campaign and charge the same $60.
its activision, they will try to nickel and dime you, no matter what.
You are a random faceless Terminator no one cares about killing 1000000 stupid enemies 4 hours straight, That's Call of Duty's Campaign pretty much...
I like it the way things are! when i get too loaded to be effective in multiplayer i switch to single player and its like an interactive action movie.
i definitely would've bought MW3 day 1 if they were to make a version of the game that's multiplayer only. it would obviously be cheaper ($30-$40) but you never know. it's Actvision. OR they could make a multiplayer only game for $60 but pack it with a shitload of features and content to somehow justify the price tag (in their eyes at least). make it the ultimate online gaming experience, with some sort of story co-op, the usual multiplayer but with more maps and so forth. that seems more plausible since Activision and $$$ go together like apricot jam and toast on a cold sunday morning. but most probable i think is a download only version of the multiplayer portion of the game, for like $30 on PSN and XBL
i wouldn't be surprised seeing as most people who buy COD sometimes don't even start the campaign. But it better be $40 or something but knowing activision they would charge you $60 and come out with another disc that as the SP and still charge $60.
aint that whats cod elite is for?....jus sayn
So long as there is a price reduction to 30 dollars per unit, I'm all for it. But knowing shitdivision they'll probably justify 60 with "more multiplayer content" than if it were singleplayer and multiplayer
MP only FPS is a curse!!.. Don't make it happen Acti!
