On The Run: EA talks Need for Speed, Frostbite 2 and chasing Hot Pursuit

OXM UK: "Thanks to Criterion's Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed is once again a force to be reckoned with in motorhead circles. Will EA Black Box follow-up The Run build on that momentum, carving out a new identity for Need for Speed as a story game, or have the franchise's old demons reasserted themselves? Ahead of our review, we chatted to producer Alex Grimbley about soundtracks, Hot Pursuit, the Frostbite 2 engine and motorsports at large."

The story is too old to be commented.

EA just got worse in the years

Every NFS game has the same effect on me:

- I see a trailer
- think it looks quite nice
- game relased but not bought at release price,
- wait for price drop,
- pick the game up
- play it for about an hour or two
- realise its going to be exactly the same for the next 20+ hours
- add to stack of games which 'i'll play properly at some point'
- blow dust off several months later to sell for peanuts on feebay

Thank you EA for sucking me in again...

Hot Pursuit and Shift 2 were awesome. Its ironic how the developers of the original sucks compared to the side-developers.

i would say yes!!! old DEMONS are back.
NFS is not about the driver out of the car runing or stealing cop car and story crap. EA need to bring back NFS glory days of RACING!!
