Angry Joe gives the final word on Battlefield 3. How much does it improve upon its predecessors and is it finally ready to stand toe to toe with Activision’s Modern Warfare?

I agree the single player wasn't great and how BC did it better (I personally didn't enjoy BFBC2's story. I just wanted them to go down the MoH route. That story not only was realistic but felt perfect for a BF game. It wasn't over the top.
DICE have never really got the single player right though BC came close. They are a good developer by developing a stunning multiplayer but what separates the good from the greatest is consistently doing very good multiplayer and single player. I am glad there are people out their in the journalism community who still recognise single player as a important feature and how games must be rated as a whole
I think if the time and resources taken from the SP and used properly on MP I think so. Say they took out the SP, they could have added what... 5 more maps at best?? or hell add more gamplaymodes. I think if its well done and its a high quality game. yes it does warrant a $60 price tag. Unlike COD which my friends bought with no second thoughts for 45 pounds.
If a single player only game can be sold at 60$, why not a multiplayer only game? I think it's about time people realize that multiplayer can now offer as much, if not more content and game time than single player.
Furthermore, it's not like it costs less to make a multiplayer only game than a single player only one.
I am playing the single player now. I think is good. This may be the only fps single player I finish. I couldn't finish Killzone 2, Modern Warfare 1-2, Black ops, and Bad Company 2.Then again maybe I wont finish this one too lol. As I get older It seems I finish less games.
