yeah, i didn't like racing games before and then i got this game called gran turismo 3 a-spec for christmas as a gift for my ps2. needless to say ive been a huge fan ever since.
They need to make GT6 more intense, fun and exciting when racing cause I always feel to relaxed and laid back while trying to get first place. Almost like as if I was cruising to victory! lol! I think shift 2 does a better job giving you a sense of speed... GT6 also needs better exterior customization on cars! I want to be able to suit up my car fast n' furious style;)
Early on the races are more intense because you only have crappy cars. But as you get the good cars it can be trivially easy to win. I'm approaching 750 cars now so I can always find a car that will easily win any race.
What I want in GT6 is an incentive to use a lower powered car. They can introduce levels to races. If you play at the expert level you have tighter car and driver aid restrictions but are rewarded with more money, experience and better gift cars. If you play at the beginner level then you can choose overpowered cars but get less goodies.
@donaldbeck Well then, please tell me what GT did that was so much better and don't even say the # of cars because u know as well as i do that over half the cars were ported straight from 3 and 4 and they looked like total shit.
I wonder if GT6 will be a PS4 title? You would have to think that Kaz said we cannot offer it in GT5 then we will make it for GT6, otherwise it will be download suggests next gen.
I think GT5 is already squeezing the PS3 so I wouldn't be suprised if it is a next gen title.
Having said that they already have the engine so getting a new title out of it isn't too hard. They need to hurry up between titles. GT series is one of my all-time fav series...
He did mention before GT5 came out once that the premiums were PS4 quality and I'd agree with that. The models are pretty much detailed down to the tiniest detail.
one thing i want them to keep is the leveling system and the licensing system. I think it really does promote the player to drive better before they get into a better car. its needs little work for GT6, but i liked it.
forza 3 was good but Gt5 was that much better and while forza 3 was a mixture of sim/arcade, Gt5 was all sim and done to perfection.
Competition is great and i believe both Gt and forza series can learn from each other and improve on things
forza series has really nice online community features that next Gt needs to adopt in some ways
and instead of 100 plus cars and same cars with 20 different models how about between 350-500 cars all down with right amount of polish and more with dlc
also how about dlc about 3-5 months after the games launches unlike 12 months after
I don't want to sound like i am hating on GT series since i am a GT series fanboy in a way but i do see a lot of room for improvement. And i do believe with right amount of community feedback things in next GT games will be much better and i do see it launching in 2012 since the engine is already there
since gran turismo 5s engine took 3 years to develop I think they will make a new engine for the next PlayStation And support gt5 will dlc and updates till then
GT5 is the best driving simulator out there right now, but they mentioned they were working on GT6 about a week after GT5 was out, to me this is old news.
But It's still gonna be awesome, whatever the Americans do the Japanese can do ALOT better.
We don't need 2000 cars, we'll just end up with 38 versions of the Honda accord or some other bland boring car. I love GT5 but there are far too many crap Japanese cars that I can't imagine anyone cares about.
Instead I want more interesting cars. I want some of the great old race cars from the 30s, 40s and 50s.
How about some fantasy cars like
Batmobile (in all it's incarnations) Munsters car and dragster Back to the Future DeLorean Mad Max's car GhostBusters Ambulance Animal House Deathmobile Mystery Machine etc.
Hell I'll take Garth's AMC Pacer over yet another Nissan Skyline.
Well it's no surprise too me that they've been working on it which is expected by a top level studio as polyphony digital with well established race series such as gran turismo to follow it up asap!

I'm not sure if Kaz will ever change GT from simulation to anything else.

Besides, there are features in GT5 that they werent able to put due to ram, like the ability to upload a video of your race on youtube.
