The Call of Duty franchise, which has had global sales top $1 billion each year now for awhile, has become mainstream entertainment. Modern Warfare 3 has been receiving a lot of attention, even from shows that never cover videogames. The Tonight Show is a prime example. While Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon regularly court videogame developers, Jay Leno and David Letterman steer clear. But Leno did enlist for Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games’ new Call of Duty in the spoof below, which also involves Letterman. The original commercial features Jonah Hill as the “noob”.
