It was indeed recorded on an iPhone 4 as can be seen by the youtube video description. You can increase the resolution from the default 360p to 720p still though.

I am so getting this for PC sucks that pc games price is going up even with Digital distribution. They want 59$ for Skyrim.

You dont need to pay console prices on PC games, specially on digital networks like Steam the prices are controlled by these publishers, doesnt mean there isnt a way around it though ;-)

Also if you must get it from steam you can hold the purcahse for a few weeks and get it on a discount. Rage is barely few weeks old and is already on discount at steam for 40usd.

I would suggest you not pay 60usd on PC games, otherwise they will get the idea we are ok with it.

Then again, if the PC version is profitable, it will continue to be supported. It is already a mucher smaller volume than consoles, unfortunately.

T900 the version of Skyrim at 59$ i am talking about is on Steam.

Bf3 pre-order i got includes Back to Karkand and Dead space 2 as a bonus and got that for 59$

Mw3 on pc is 59$ as well now. We use to have games at 49,99 on release day on steam but they are charging premium now for pc gamers. SUCKS !

Check my link I got the standard vesion of BF3 day one at 38usd which i think is a bargain.

Its only Activision really that is charging a premium for their games, personally i dont care for COD, i havent bought one since MW1.

EA titles can mostly be had cheap if you look around a bit.

I personally bought Batman AC for 39usd from Steam which was their offer for people who already own the previous batman game.

Imo if you look around and shop PC is still the cheapest platform to game on.

Unfortunately, it's only the big guys like EA and Activision that are charging the $59.99 for new PC games...a lot of the smaller companies still only charge $49.99...but Idk how long that will last either..

I would wait for an official comparison. But I would not be surprised if the PS3 version has better textures because it's install size matches the PC. I find it funny how both the PC and PS3 versions are 5.5 GBS while the 360 one is 3.8. 1.7 GB of difference seems pretty substantial to me.

Anyways we won't know utill gameblurb or any similar site does the comparison.

Made on the 360 then compressed and Then ported to ps3, I don't know why the pc is that way though.

Seems more logical that they will repeat with what they did with new Vegas. Basically the PS3 Version was bigger than the 360 due to the quality of the textures. But in the end thdifference will be minimal.

BTW since the 360 is lead that means that the PC and PS3 versions are both ports.

Like a said before, until they do a comparison we will not know the answer to this.

the ps3 just like 360 has only 512mb ram textures are streamed from hdd/disk to ram and then from vram to gpu for rendering therefore the ps3 can never match the pcs texture quality as the ps3 has only 256mb vram.

Although the ps3 can also use some of the xdr the xdr cannot be used for texture streaming as the rsx accesses its gddr3 much faster than the xdr which it can only access through the cell and not directly(which causes LATENCY) while devs can splits the 360s ram between the cpu and gpu how ever the want without complications(its simply easier to use and devs like easy)

the lack of vram on consoles SERIOUSLY bottlenecks texture quality. Infact ps3 has SLIGHTLY less usable ram than 360 because its OS has a larger memory footprint and the framebuffer has to be tiled to gddr3 while the 360 has an extra 10mb ERAM with massive bandwidth dedicated to that and other bandwidth intensive operations.

battlefield 3 is the same size across all platforms does that mean the console versions match pc ? NO the pc version even at minimum settings 720p looks better than the console versions and has larger maps and player count

both console verisons will look the same
