Uncharted 3 success points to Golden Abyss for PS Vita

Uncharted 3 has done well for PS3, and now that success points to something special for the PlayStation Vita, in the form of Uncharted: Golden Abyss. This will be released in Japan December 17, and February 22, 2012 in North America and Europe.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss is a new title for the PlayStation Vita also releasing Feb 22, in NA and EU. SCE Bend Studio, as well as being overseen by Naughty Dog is developing the game,

The first game I'm buying for the Vita.

Misterhbk2265d ago

Uncharted: Golden Abyss WOULD have been the first game I bought but then I switched to the First Edition Bundle lol. Little Deviants will be the first game I get my hands on but come the 22nd of feb I'll have

Little Deviants
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
ModNation Racers Road Trip

and probably a couple other titles to start off my Vita collection of games. Those are just the ones I have preordered and paid off already. Gravity Daze will most likely be getting picked up day one, and I'm still waiting on a release date for FFX.

I thought Ruin wasn't coming out until like mid 2012. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Eit: I will pick up all those titles though probably not right away as i just don't make enough from my job :/ I hate being only on call. It is the worst.

Gamestop has Ruin slated for launch day as does Sony on the Playstation website. Of course we still don't have an official list of launch titles for the US so anything could happen I guess, but I think Ruin is gonna be there.

Uncharted 2 was the reason I got back into gaming after skipping the PS2 era.

The PS3 was met with a lot of challenges & persecution but Uncharted 2 made it worthwhile for me to own the PS3 and also PlayStation Move

Uncharted Golden Abyss will also be the main reason I will be getting the PS Vita.

Oh yeah! The reason I got U3 was because of the revamped online multi-player playing as Chloe. I hope U:GA also has online multiplayer and co-op. That will be fantastique!

I'd say that Sony will sell quite a lot of PSVita's just because of Golden Abyss, provided that they advertise the game.
A lot of people will seriously think that this game is a remastered port of Drake's Fortune, I've actually met a few guys who believe that. Sony really need to make it clear, in the adverts, that this is an original stand alone Uncharted game created specifically for the Vita.
That said, I think it would be best to pre-order this game along with the Vita, just to be on the safe side :).

Game4life2265d ago (Edited 2265d ago )

I thought it was made already fairly clear that it wasn't the same game based on the videos. But if you're talking about a uninformed gamer, I could see what you mean.

LarVanian2265d ago

Yeah I should have been more specific, I was directly referring to casual gamers, who would usually discover new games through TV or magazine advertising.

ginsunuva2265d ago (Edited 2265d ago )

It's called golden abyss. Not drake's fortune. Idk why people would think it's a remake.

Well take those land this land that ips on the gameboy and DS lines. These are practically ports of older games with a different subtitle, not arguing just saying clarification is always the best way to go in these scenarios.

I wonder did alot of people bought UC2/3 because of online?

Pixel_Enemy2264d ago

You mean the multiplayer? Probably not. The multiplayer is great, don't get me wrong (I like it a lot) but the single player campaign is unmatched and it is absolutely the selling point of the game.

nevin12264d ago (Edited 2264d ago )

Yeah but alot people bought/considered UC2 because it had multiplayer.

Having a beta for UC2/3 was a good move.

PSVita2264d ago

personally UC's multiplayer is one of my favorites this gen, tied with warhawk and demon souls.
