PSLS: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Review

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is like a chain restaurant – you know what you are going to get before you set foot in the restaurant. Maybe there are better restaurants out there with better food, but sometimes you just want some salad and breadsticks. While there is no delicious food involved, what you will get with MW3 is lots and lots of action.

I bought it last night, and while I'm liking it pretty good, it's just not what I was hoping for. I keep hoping they'll recapture the magic of CoD4, but I keep getting disappointed. Being completely honest, and I have both games, I find myself playing Battlefield 3 more. It just offers so much more. I love being able to fly jets and drive vehicles and stuff. I sort of wish I had waited on buying MW3. Oh well. I guess I'll pop it in every so often and play with some friends.

Yeah that's pretty sad when there's so many other good games out. Uncharted 3 should be played by any real gamer. Arkham City should too.

"you know what you are going to get before you set foot in the restaurant."

Yep. That sums it up. Nothing wrong with that. Except for when the userbase ONLY EATS that kind of food now.

Literally had some customers at GameStop today say, and I quote, "Call of Duty is the only game worth my time, Bro."

Sadly, idiots like that are the price of the industry being mainstream now.

I just started playing the campaign and it is fantastic so far. I am liking it alot more than the Battlefield 3 campaign so far. Battlefield 3 has a MUCH better multiplayer though.
