Aeropause Review of Mass Effect

Richard Windsor of Aeropause felt that the game was visually stunning, and loaded with replay value. The only issues with the game was some graphical pop-in, and issues with the auto-save system.

had no problems, and it's a mute point anyway because you can save at ANY point in the game unless you are in the middle of combat.

Best RPG yet this generation and strong GOTY contender.

Its a good game but as i stated before if this beats mario galaxy cod4 or halo 3 ill be amazed.

Well Oblivion vs. Mass Effect is only opinion after all. Oblivion had it easier with the map markers for every quests Mass Effect has you hunt them down. Oblivion you can talk to everyone and anyone Mass Effect only certain. Oblivion is set in olden medieval days and Mass Effect is set well in the future and space travel. Oblivion is only so big and Mass Effect is a galaxy.

All depends on your style of play really. Medieval times or futuristic times. Swords and Shields or Automatics and Barriers. Lay of the land or Solar Systems. Both addictive as heck.

With its amazing story, gorgeous visuals, and innovative conversation system, Mass Effect has cemented itself as a classic RPG. Every nook and cranny of this game has been given an extreme amount of detail and love. Bioware has shown they are by far the best western developer of RPG’S, no other company comes close. If you own a 360 you must play this game. If you don’t own one, buy one because this game is that good. Mass Effect has some obvious flaws but in the end they are far outshined by what, so far, should be the front runner for game of the year."

Okay at first I was wondering what problems he had with the auto save for it does what it's suppose to. Yet he was saying that sometimes it takes a long time before it auto saves for you which is true. I learned early on you need to save otherwise yes you'll have to replay a good chuck if you didn't.

I guess your squad AI can get a bit dense by not taking real cover and standing out in the open during battle, but they are meant to be next to you so if you take the only cover position you killed them yourself. Also they do take liberties in their abilities a lot which is nice.

Oh well maybe they will tone down the graphics for part 2 so the 360 can handle it.

no console can handle mass effect running silky smooth as console dont hav enough ta and when playing mass effect ull see what i mean the game ha amazing graphics and is soo big to many things to do the amount of texture /voiceacting/effects plot/ out do oblivion in so many ways this game is ligth years in front of oblvion i cant even belive they made an rpg with this depth and look i think MASS effect cant be don on th eps3 as it has the smallst ram out of next gen console that it wud be ubrunable on the ps3 thus ps3 games stuck to 10hr plot
