The latest patch for Dead Island has been detailed over on the Deepsilver blog. Fixing interface issues and adjusting game balance.
They will go live on the PlayStation Network (9th November) and Xbox Live (10th November).
According to a LinkedIn post, Bethesda and Xbox Game Studio representatives will meet up with Deep Silver Volition employees.
That's pretty cool, but didn't they just lay of 10k as a whole. Reportedly some from the gaming division even.

This is called good PR. And an opportunity to hire veterans over scrubs.
Not to call them scrubs but yeah some veteran devs are more welcome than others with less experience
You can hire veterans all day long but it’s the talent Microsoft lacks.
It was mostly outside of gaming. Most of the game studios weren't affected besides 343i and Coalition from what I recall
But of course. Just look at the latest Saint's Row....that is exactly the level of quality and writing that Xbox strives for these days.
There u go. This is way more acceptable than buying up studios. Buy individual talent until you strengthen your already owned studios. 👏🏽

We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.
but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!
Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games
Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!
When this game is finally fully patched and working probably I will get it as it looks pretty good!
In a way it's good for me that it needs some fixing as I will just pick it up really cheap at some point in the future!

My game's save has been broken since end of Sept. (freezes upon loading; X360)
But I still love the game, I had to be patient in order to not spoil my enjoyment after the game-breaking bug.
I think I've made it to the other side, back to enjoying bashing zombies!

wish the fixes would have come sooner, i finished it already & have moved on. Well i guess this is good news for other people going to pick it up for the holidays!
GAH! Did anyone else notice that they made kick "more balanced" and now it depletes stamina? That's not cool! The kick sometimes is my only saving grace when my stamina is low! What the hell man? That's a dealbreaker for me, I don't think I'll be downloading this patch...
