The Pixel Review: Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi Review

When I opened my copy of Ultimate Tenkaichi, I braced myself for what I expected to be more of the same. The previous iterations in the Tenkaichi series have been some what of a guilty pleasure for me, mixing nostalgia with approachable controls that allowed me to actively participate in the grand battles of my lethargic wasted youth. Ultimate Tenkaichi failed to even satisfy my extremely forgiving criteria for a DBZ game.

I wouldn't really make a choice on buying this game based on this review as this game has actually had some decent reviews, including a 75 from IGN. That said, I gave up on DBZ games after the first raging blast and can't say this game has interested me at all.

No surprise. Game looked like garbage. Remake Budokai 3, add some more characters and call it a day.

The Tenkaichi games on PS2.., I guess, is the pinnicle of DBZ games...
