10 Most Horrifying Sounds in Gaming

TPV's Elliot: "Gaming’s history has been a symphony of terror, from the mild panic induced by Mario’s time-running out music or Sonic the Hedgehog’s drowning countdown, through to the oppressive soundscapes constructed by games like Bioshock or Amnesia, where low echos push inwards making you uneasy as distant sounds suggest the scuttling of approaching inhuman feet.

From gaming’s dark songbook, we offer you 10 of the best;" (BioShock, Culture, F.E.A.R., Metal Gear Solid 4, Minecraft, Resident Evil 4)

Ooo. This is a good "Top #"
Sounds are definitely something that can get to you in a game, even if you don't realise it.

Though it would've been better if there were sound clips for each, for people who haven't played the games. Plus that first video clip is almost 10 mins long!

I dont know if it counts as a sound, but the BGM "Prayer" from Silent Hill 3 is a song that can give me nightmares every time.
