Who says it's a tired genre!? Not I!

It has stagnated a bit. But there are still excellent FPS games released every year, so I'm not gonna start complain just yet.

Couldn't disagree with you more! There are WAY to many on the market right now. Developers need to take a breather from it for awhile and put more time into innovation, but the won't because fps mostly always sell well and that's all that matters these days.

The fps market is harsh bro.
Make a good shooter like singularity but dont get enough media attention and you're screwed. Problem is that if you make another installment in a renowned series you'll sell millions and people won't neccessarily demand quality. That's why first person shooters see little innovation these days yo.

I am with you Carlos, The FPS has been my favorite since MidiMaze, and will remain that way, as long as there are choices other than modern warfare type shooters, that is.

I do feel as though the genre has become over-saturated, but its popularity just seems to keep growing, so I'm clearly out voted on that one :D
