Eurogamer: Remedy says "gamers already judging the game are "assuming a lot by the platform it is on."
this digital move will bring more profit for this studio
And profit for MS and their overpriced hdd's.
And how does that relate to Alan Wake? Oh wait...you're trolling...continue
'The original Alan Wake could have been an XBLA game too, Mäki reasoned, on the basis that without cut-scenes it would have fitted XBLA's 2GB filesize limit.' But I liked the cutscenes in Alan Wake. Are they gone from the new XBLA title?
It was more a comment on how much hdd space these big downloadable games take. Both on PS3 and Xbox. Only a bit more relevant on the platform where a hdd isn't standard on all models...
So andron, what is your point? People without an hardrive don't need to buy the game or they can use their Walmart $10 8gb usb drive to store the download game to play if they wanted to. It is not like they don't have an option to upgrade.
How is hdd space not relevant for a downloadable title? These high end DL titles often take a couple of gigs and end up taking much hdd space after a while. That's what I was getting at. And of course they can upgrade to a hdd if they want, and there is where MS overpriced hdd's come into play...
Calm down man. You sounded angry. LOL. If you don't like the non-HDD arcade X360 unite, then don't buy it. No one is forcing you. It is still the lowest priced HD system on the market for the casual folks. Can you stop trolling now.
Yeah those hdd's are stupidly overpriced.
Andron. Ever hear of a 16g USB key? The hdd's are way overpriced. I would never purchase a MS hdd. Straight robbery.
Why did NYC get disagree's? Its true
Welcome to N4G, where people hit disagree because of ignorance or wanting to be "funny."
I am no fan of digital distribution :/ But i am glad to hear that it's just a spin off.
I don't care. I just want to find out more! Monday, Y U NO COME FASTER?!
i hope the new game is actually fun. the story telling was good but the lack of direction, horrid gameplay mechanics (lol at the dodge system) and un realistic amount of crates filled with thousands of batteries and ammo was just out of place. series has potential, they just have to find it. probably more enemy variety, more gameplay then just, Shoot with a flash light then shoot with a gun. better puzzles, meh just everything needs to be fixed :P
Really you complain about crates filled with thousand of batteries and ammo's?? Have you just started gaming?? Besides uncharted has almost no enemy variety, I hear no one complaining about that.
that was the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. Uncharteds enemies are Humans. Not Demented monster dude things like alan wake, wtf? and no ive been gaming probably longer than you've been alive. the game was ok, is it wrong of me to hope it improves? the gameplay was repetitive and boring, i got half way through the game and stopped, the story alone isnt enough for me to waste my time
It will be interesting to see how this all works out, and pricing and size of the game will play into my decision on buying or not. Done properly, I could see this game opening the doors for more companies to take this route, but to be honest I think the jump to purely digital is still a ways off, because it will take a while for gamers to really embrace the idea of not getting a disc with their games.
People are overreacting a bit, they never said there wouldn't be more Alan Wake in the future, or a straight sequel. I look at this as most likely some sort of tie in with a true sequel. Sort of like Case Zero with Dead Rising 2. Anything Wake related is okay in my book.
all i can say is mehhhhhhhh!!!!!!
