Kotaku - After a two-game vacation in Vegas, Tom Clancy's elite counter-terrorism unit takes on an all-new threat threatening to destroy the U.S. government in Rainbow 6: Patriots now in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
This game is b.s. Fighting Americans that disagree with the government? Give me a break.
So you're saying it's improbable for America to have homegrown terrorist? Disenfranchised groups who feel like violence is their only voice? I don't get your disbelief. Edit; If you use violence as a means to an end, you are a terrorist and that's the point. Everyone disagrees with the government at some point, that's natural. To use violence as a means of getting your point across is a terrorist act. What about that is lost on you? What you're trying to imply is that Americans can't be terrorists. Why? Timothy McVeigh is a terrorist and he's an American! I suppose we should only paint Eastern Europeans and Middle Easterns as terrorists right?!
So essentially every American that disagrees with a corrupt government is a terrorist then? Violence isn't the answer. Ever. I agree...but this game will paint Americans as terrorists. Its as simple as that.
Oh Boo Hoo, youre worried a game will label your race as terrorist? Lucky youre not Middle Eastern or your feeling might really be hurt.
@ MasterD919 I completely agree. I've been waiting a long time for a new Rainbow Six game, but I can't say I like the sound of the plot, especially since in reality the US Government has been hijacked by corporate interests, which has resulted in people's rights being taken away, jobs leaving the USA in favor of China, illegal wars and the engineered collapse of the economy. This game is starting to sound like Social Engineering to portray Patriots as Terrorists. We'll just have to wait and see if these "so-called" terrorists in the game are wearing Ron Paul or Jesse Ventura T-Shirts.
Ever heard of Timothy McVeigh?
Another malcontent, sit over there in the free speech zone. Behind the barbed wire and the attack dogs. If you resist you will be a threat to freedom and democracy. If this had two parallel campaigns, for each side, I would buy it and play the Patriots in a heartbeat.
I hope its good. I love RB6 and theres not many squad based shooters. Move support would be awesome too Ubi. If theres a game you want to play with Sharpshooter this is it.
2013? Might as well wait for the PS4/next Xbox then.
Fox News will have a heyday over this one.
Homegrown terrorists, eh? I already have this feeling that there will be underlying messages about the Tea Party movement. It would be a pure genius play if so (although I disagree with it IF...it were to happen): That's controversy that will make you the major headline on Fox News.
new R6?!?!?! YES!!! HELL YES!!!!..this is awesome!
