Heavy Rain: Director’s Cut Ships November 8th

Heavy Rain, one of the most talked-about titles ever to be released exclusively for PS3, will be re-released next week, but this time with lots of extras making it the perfect gift for the holidays. In addition to the original game, Heavy Rain: Director’s Cut will include DLC, the original soundtrack, bonus videos, and more. One loaded release for the great price of $29.99! (Heavy Rain , PS3)

Director's Cut sounds like the most fitting title for this cinematic game. Should be purchased by anyone who's interested in a genre that's undersaturated.

Too bad I knew nothing of this until less than a week before release. I've gotten 6 games since August, and I'm getting Metal Gear Solid on the 8th. I'll have to wait for a price drop and see how much I get to trade in the original.

hm... Why do i get this feeling of being ripped off?
ironfist92  +   1336d ago
Because its basically the GOTY edition. Its happening to ALL AAA titles with huge amounts of over-priced and plentiful DLC.

Although with Heavy Rain, we got a brilliant game, and were expecting MORE DLC from it. A great purchase for anyone.

They should have continued with the Heavy Rain Chronicles DLC.

But instead they wasted all that time on the "Move" capabilities.

I played the first and only DLC The Taxidermist and thought it was really, really well done especially being able to play it multiple times, each time playing it differently and noticing the AI react to your different actions.

Pretty sure The Taxidermist was a tech demo. Was made before the game was finished for E3.

I don't think it was wasted time at all. HR plays great with Move and is my preferred play method.

I really enjoyed The Taxidermist too.

@Godmars290

You're probably right but it doesn't change the fact that if they kept that theme/style to the DLC it would've been awesome and I'm sure a lot of people would have bought it.

The game kept crashing on me at the same point when I tried it before, so I'll probably have another go at this version when it comes out. A very interesting concept and was implemented well, particularly with the move controls added.

lol The box art for this is fugly. There's nothing new here that I haven't had for over a year and a half now. Why would anyone want this version. : / Well, I suppose if you couldn't afford it, but Sony really needs to redo their greatest hit designs. They're terribad. I'd rather print custom designs than buy this "I'm cheap, buy me!" version.

Sweet I keep meaning to get this game but always put it off, gotta get this just wish they would of did more DLC instead of MOVE support.
Szarky  +   1337d ago
Yeap, big waste of time IMO.
LettingGo  +   1336d ago
I'd prefer more DLC, but the Move support was great!

This game brings back so many memories. I played it together with my best friend who I had a huge crush on. Now that ive got a ps3, Im definitely going to pick up this version.

Anyone who even SORT of likes Heavy Rain already owns the DLC and soundtrack.

Seriously...I'm not buying it again. I have it and I love the Move support, but I'm not doing this. Come on, Cage. You are better than this. -_-

I'm going to buy it. I never got to buy it.

How is the greatest hits version Cage's fault? Did he also make every single greatest hit before this one?
LettingGo  +   1333d ago
This isn't the Greatest Hits version. That version has been out for awhile now. THIS is the director's cut.
