OXM UK: Call of Duty fans will be "blown away by the quality and the quantity" on offer in Modern Warfare 3, says the game's creative director.
"can't imagine a game that gives you more" - of the same.
To be fair, the amount of unlocks, challenges, etc. is staggering. That being said, it's basically the same unlocks, etc. as the last two games--just more of it.
yeah, I'm not saying the game won't be good, but I don't like IW settling for the same when they have more than enough resources to innovate and make a change. Sorta like the change from COD3 to COD4.
@ Hufanpuf Change what? It's a great formula that works. All you can do is iterate without breaking what makes the game fun for the massive fanbase that enjoys it. You have a rock solid engine, fluid gameplay and controls, an in game economy and sandbox that rewards players and allows them to play the way they want to. What more are they really suppose to add? People keep saying they need to change or innovate but change what, innovate what?
Stan, It's just the tired old COD arguement, dont forget the "innovate" buzz word to make it sound like you know what your on about. Lets look at some other sequels where are these "huge changes" people demand, Gears, Uncharted, Skyrim, Zelda, all massive differences over the previous games right? Wrong.
@ Fishy Fingers I agree. Even BF is basically the same type of gameplay that it has always been. Did that make the game bad? No. People want to hate on COD and that's okay if you just don't like the game, but don't make silly arguments about it being the same tired formula when you don't apply the same criteria to other games.
"Lets look at some other sequels where are these "huge changes" people demand, Gears, Uncharted, Skyrim, Zelda, all massive differences over the previous games right? " Actually they did have changes. Gears: 4p co-op, Beast Mode, balance changes Uncharted: UC1->UC2 addition of MP, co-op, and addition to many other features like match recording, etc Skyrim: If you paid attention to the development, they altered the way how the game will progress now, dynamic quest system, etc Zelda: Skyward Sword (I don't even have to explain on this one considering every Zelda game had always something different going on. You guys are confusing formula with genre and improvements. Of course a game isn't going to drastically change out of what type of genre it is, it's more so of actually making those changes which can be apparent.
@ radphil In that case, then MW3 is different from MW2. They changed the killstreak system so that now you can choose sets of killstreak rewards customized to your preference of play (assault, support, defensive). They've added a Kill Confirm deathmatch mode to discourage campers. They've added Survival mode to Spec Ops ala Zombies and Horde mode. They've given a real reason for people to multi-prestige (prestige tokens to permanently unlock items, perks, etc.) instead of just a symbol next to your name.
What a small imagination he has...
I can...and I'm off to play it in a little while.
Holy shit.. hahhahaha xD
I could.....I game that actually comes complete with out dlc milking, and if new maps are made just give them for free
Well for a start it's got 16 MP maps ....that aint bad in this day and age of holding back and charging for dlc.
HAH!!! RIGHT!!!! If I went down a list of what they've given PC gamers, or any gamer for that matter the SHIT would outweigh the good so much it doesn't even matter anymore. I'm going to start with, it's not BF3, Modern Warfare is incredibly bad, it promotes complete newbatry. HUGE child fan base community, and it's copy and paste. It's a money sink, with no improvement. NO THANKS
Wow a person who thinks his own shit is best!
MW3 as alot of content that´s true.
I actually think many gamers these days care more about value for money than the actual quality of what they're buying. You can have both and many games do it, but MW3's lack of change means you're paying for "more of the same". Based on CoD's increasing sales each year, Activison must be loving the fact people either don't notice stagnation when it happens or just don't seem to care.
I'm really surprised that they didn't even attempt to change the player tags and text from the last game. As far as menus and text screens go- this is MW2.5 The game itself has some new features but this is the same candy in a new wrapper.
