I really wanna glide around and burn people as Spyro, like I cannot stress that enough lol. Ratchet and Clank have all those amazing gadgets and guns I cannot wait to play as them, as well. Those are my top characters I want to play as
Spyro probably won't be in it, since Sony doesn't own the rights. Also hopefully there's four player multiplayer online and offline.
See this is could work. I would play it. The thing I am most lookoing forward to if it's true is online support. Smash Bros Brawl never got any love after release. It had crappy online and no DLC. There are so many fresh ideas they could of added, but never did. With the PS3 version, you could adapt all your skins from your games into it. Like you real personal LBP file so you can use that Sackperson, or have the EYE cam on the floor and play augmented reality on your carpet while a EyePet jumps around. Hell even some awesome levels like a Flower level. They really could go on and on. Sony has just as many brand names, and who knows seeing Spyro and Crash again would be pretty stellar.
I want to see the money invested in another game.
I kind of agree with you there. It could be cool, but I just don't see how it would work.
True. Smash Bros. works because Nintendo characters are basically cartoon characters. Sony's characters are based more in reality, or at least their worlds/stories would fit awkwardly in an arena fighter.
Would you people stop saying that. Are Sly Cooper, Jax and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sackboy and Sir Dan based in reality? And why wouldn't it work? Everyone plays MVC3 with Frank West, Rocket Raccon Pheniow Wright and Megaman beating up Magneto, Super Skrull, Sentinal and Dante and I don't see anyone complaining and thinking its awkward.
They could be making another War of the Monsters, but they're doing this instead? Meh, just hope its worth it...
dumb question but... has this really been considered by Sony?
not officially, apparently it was someone who claims to know about the project and gave a little details about the game. I'm still skeptical whether or not it's legit
There is a big chance this is not true but if it is I hope Sony puts their best people behind it and make it deep and well executed and not just some throw away game. Can you imagine a SSB type game with all the power of the PS3 behind it? But untill I hear from Sony themselves, I remain skeptical. @ cr33ping_death well they have more then enough characters for it. If anyone can do it besides Nintendo, its them.
the power of the ps3 behind it???? SSB is not about the graphics its about the gameplay, reason why gameplay wise people love melee over brawl.
*holds head'. Did I say anything against SSB? I meant with the PS3 you could have better more detailed stages and characters, more complex moves, multi teared stages, bigger stages etc. God must you people always get so defensive? Did I say anything against SSB gameplay or compared it to SSB in any way? I just said with the PS3's power it would look great. You have no idea what the gameplay for this game is like and your already making comparisons.
Ummm its a sony copy of SSB. I know you didn't say anything bad about SSB. Like i said the "power of the ps3".. the characters and stages are pretty damn good in ssb, if your talking about having a game with the graphics of uncharted2/3 or Killzone what have you thats another whole thing. And LOL you have you not seen the videos of people playing brawl or melee? there are fairly difficult moves to pull off as it is.
The only thing i could expect is to not play it. Fighters were a huge genere back in the day. I havent touched one since like Virtua Fighter...in other words its been a long time & i have no interest in going back!
would be sweet if it was done well. but i've already had snake in smash bros, kratos in mortal kombat. the idea of ratchet vs jak is nice, drake vs lara croft. i'd be more excited to hear about a new smash bros though to be honest
I know I'll get disagrees because this is N4G, but when the Move came out I said it wouldn't do well because Sony lacked the first party characters to pull off something so similar to the Wii. I think this is the same case, why is Sony all of a sudden D-riding Nintendo? I realize the industry copies each other here and there but this is pretty blatant.
