Uncharted 3 Review [GamePodunk]

GamePodunk writes: The tougher AI makes the eight-hour Campaign more challenging than before, but it's worth putting in the effort just for the smile the game will put on your face when it tears the world away from right under your feet. Fantastic graphics, intense gameplay and a compelling cast makes for another terrific adventure from Nate and the gang. Co-op multiplayer is the surprise winner of the online side of the game, not that there isn’t hours of fun to be had from competitive play too.

From the article ***MILD SPOILERS***

"Fears that the game would be mainly desert based are swept away early on. After an early London level (really, sewers again?) we find ourselves in a French forest which is where the jaw dropping starts. The detail and lighting in the jungle-like area of France is just incredible. It's as close to reality as we're going to get with this generation of consoles. Other impressive landscapes include a canyon that makes Red Dead look like it's made of wet cardboard and a bustling Middle Eastern city. While some developers are bitching about this generation's hardware running out of steam, Naughty Dog are continuing to provide next- gen visuals today".

I'm going to have to disagree.

Fine and dandy, but the reviewers, majority of them, have agreed with it.

@ Disagree: Seems people have trouble facing facts. Fact: Most reviewers have called Uncharted 3 the best consoles have to offer (visually). A quick read through some would help out. Doesn't really matter much though, the game is much more than just the prettiest face on the block!

Devs can say they need new hardware all they want, but until they're all making games that look as good as Uncharted they are just lagging behind and still have room to improve.

Well, seems people are already have trouble accepting that. I agree with you though, some devs still need a better handle on the hardware.

Be interesting to see what game takes on Uncharted 3 for that top spot - The Last Guardian perhaps?

I am starting to believe that the reviewer mostly play games on easy mode these days. I am playing on hard mode and am at chapter 13. According to the game I've played over 6 hours already. That would make this game roughly 10 to 12 hours for me just like Uncharted 2. Game is great though and the graphics are awesome.

Most reviewers do play games on easy. IGN and a few other sites have already admitted that in the past. I play nearly every game I purchase on hard right out of the gate. That's just how the hardcore roll.

Same here. I normally go for the highest difficulty or one difficulty lower depending on my time and the level of difficulty offered.

I just beat the game and I have to say as much as I liked it I feel like it could have used a bit more play testing with the gun fights. And maybe a little more polish. I still feel like Uncharted 2 is the best in the series. Oh and just so your aware I beat it on hard.
