How to Find a Nintendo Wii Online - Helpful Tips & Tools

Where the hell are Wii? Here is a list of sources, plus some useful Wii finder tools, that may help you to find a Wii this holiday season.

The list includes a few places there have been recent (and current) Wii sightings online. If none of those places pans out for you, there are a couple of web-based tools that poll various sources for Wiis to check stock, and they publish this stock in near real-time on their web sites and in RSS feeds that you could add to your "My Yahoo" or "iGoogle" home pages. Those tools may be helpful to check to see if some online source does come up with a previously hidden cache of Wii stock.

HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB CONVINCING THE CONSUMERS THAT THE WII IS THE HOTTEST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET BECAUSE IT CANT BE FOUND,KUDOS TO THEM FOR FINDING A WAY TO SELL CONSOLES.

I'LL BE DAMNED IF I SPEND AN AFTERNOON OR HECK,AN HOUR,TRYING TO FIND A GAMING CONSOLE IN A STORE WHEN IT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AFTER 1 YEAR OF BEING ON THE MARKET.

Think about it, 13 million Wiis, and at least as many DS's.

That's 50 consoles per MINUTE they're pumping out. How much more do you want them to do? That's nearly a console per second!

It's not like some of the companies making the parts for the Wii can keep up either. Some of them are making very complicated pieces that had virtually no demand at all before the Wii.

exactly.. people should know there would be shortages.. 13million systems in one year.. of course there will not be ps3 and 360 shortages.. they've only sold 6 million this year

I still can't understand what's so great about the Wii. Granted, i'm in my thirties and have almost zero interest in all the "kiddy" games that are so prominent on the Wii, but I just don't get this phenomenon.
I guess it's just that the Wii is mainly for the 14 and under crowd and since I don't have kids, I'll never understand it. I've read through the long list of games available for the Wii and there isn't a single game I am interested in, except for maybe Mario Galaxy, and even that looks like it would give me a headache.

So please, someone tell me, why is the Wii such an in-demand console?

I agree, I think most of the wii's are being sold out do to little kids, because up till now minus a few good titles on the system, I dont see what games are must haves, the Wii has the lowest rated games on their system, example anibus or whatever, and theres alot of games like that coming out for that system, I dont know what teenager or grown person in their right minds would purchase games like that, I tell you one thing Nintendo is doing a great job at making people buy a system with not to many good titles to choose from.
