'Assassin's Creed is a lovingly matured fine wine' - play review

And, as a closing note for those supposedly objective and reputable review sources that have so woefully misjudged Ubisoft's latest high-profile offering: Assassin's Creed is a lovingly matured fine wine to be consumed at one's leisure, not merely swilled and spat while staring absent-mindedly down the nose of reticence. It is an engrossing adventure to be investigated thoroughly, not simply perused in conjunction with the ominous tick-tock of the editor's deadline clock. And it is a marker of next-gen progression to be lauded for its bravery, not spitefully hauled backward because it occasionally fails to accomplish all of its lofty ambitions.

Assassin's Creed arrives as a glorious but flawed masterpiece that deserves to be praised for all that it does so brilliantly, not shamefully criticised for a smattering of minor detractions that never threaten to do anything but temporarily blemish an otherwise glistening gem.

couldnt have said it better.

i love assassins creed to the bone and those few glitches sorry but ME can live with those if you compare it to the rest of the game. :)

True and same here :)

Some reviewers are shamefully bashing the games bugs. Were they sleeping when other open world games shipped and had way more bugs? Oblivion, GTA and many other open world games have way more bugs than AC but they get all 9s and 10s.

Sometimes I think there is a hidden crusade against AC. This game is a masterpiece albeit a flawed one and deserves the praise and time of any true gamer.

true

tbh i cant tell why people ive gta mad props with its immense buggy world and repeditive gameplay (irony carefull because i also love gta) but at gta noone complains about the game beeing a bunch of "minigames" yet AC is to blame for it ?

i really dont get it, i think the whole ac thingy is weird people tought they would get the wholy grail of videogames but it isnt its just a f...ing awesome game, and now people downtalk everything about it.

Great game, I finished the game and am still having with all the side missions. I do hope they fix the repetitive conversations you hear guards saying to citizens they are harassing and come up with a better save mechanism (how about letting me save it WHEN AND WHERE I want to!)

'Assassin's Creed is a lovingly matured fine wine'.
The fact of the matter is,
I only play this game on evenings when
a bottle of Opus 1,Caymus,Siver Oak....the Justin Meyers made
vintages,or a bottle of Pine Ridge can accompany me to my gaming
hideaway at home.
Lancaster and Seqoia Grove are fabulous choices also(Cabernets only).
All Napa wines by the way.
I play this game about 4 nights out of the week,
and I fvckin love it!
