TheSixthAxis Looks At: Easy Trophies And Cheap Platinums

Feel like you just need to get one more platinum? TheSixthAxis takes a look at three games that make grabbing that coveted trophy a breeze, and let you do it on a budget. (Alone in the Dark: Inferno, Eat Lead: The Return Of Matt Hazard, PS3, Terminator Salvation)

Im a big trophy hunter but there one thing i won't do and thats play bad games just because they have easy platinums. I enjoy the hard work that goes into the hunt.

One thing that really annoys me, people playing bad games or games they hate just because it has easy platinums.

This one guy on my friends list used to constantly complain about how he hated some game yet he kept playing it just to increase his psn level.

Needless to say he's not on my friends list anymore.

I like going for trophies, but if a game sucks I can't bring myself to play just for trophies, its not worth it. I tried playing Terminator Salvation for the easy plat, but to me the game was so bad I quit after a couple levels.

I'm not a trophy whore (easy to tell by my 'level') but I did rent Terminator Salvation... just because I'm a Terminator geek from way back.

Yeah, it's not a great game at all. But I had some fun with it. I guarantee you will *never* see "Hannah Montana" on my trophy list.

The guy who holds the best global times for speedruns on mirrors edge has Hannah Montana platinum lol. I personally was disappointed.

I'd like to see a list of the most fun plats instead of the easiest. Borderlands was fun to plat, and other than beating Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - Sonic's Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection was a blast. Also, neither of those two were terribly difficult to plat.

Edit: I'm surprised that Spare Parts isn't on this list. It is a downloadable game on PSN that I picked up on sale for $5. The plat was very, very fast and easy to achieve.

While I have not played any of the games mentioned in the article, I did platinum Madden 12. It was by far the most cheaply obtained platinum Trophy that I have every acquired ..... I felt a little dirty.
And then I remembered my other 20+ platinum’s in conjunction with my recent FF13 plat and all was well.

WHAT ABOUT HANNA MONTANA!?

I would feel more inclined to trophy/achievement hunting IF they would just stop doing the stupid multiplayer trophies/achievements. I decided in light of the next COD i would platinum all the others (excluding COD4 cause it has no trophies). I have yet to platinum Black Ops cause of all the stupid zombie mode trophies. I mean really..i don't care about the zombie mode at all.

World at War was one of the hardest games i've beaten because of grenade spamming but being a fan of Terminator series i might give salvation a go.

Article screwed up. You get a gold, yes a gold for beating each lvl on hard in Terminator Salvation, not a silver. Game doesn't even have any silvers or bronzes. Clearly the author hasn't platinumed it or he'd remember it quite fondly, heh.

Godfather 2 is damn easy! Heavy Rain isn't so bad either, but I can imagine a lot of people tuning out, if attempting to get the multiple ending one and that [infamous] bronze trophy one.

i didnt think matt hazard was bad. i knew it was a parody of other games and thats why i wanted to play it. as for terminator, i didnt play that. AITD:inferno wasn't a bad game either, at least not to me. but im the kind of gamer who plays whatever sounds interesting.
