Dualshock Nexus: Infamous: Festival of Blood hit the PSN store today and we have over 11 minutes of gameplay from the start of the game (with more to come!). The twisted, horror themed story of the DLC fits in so well in the Infamous universe. It's definitely one of the best DLC I have ever played. This is a must have for Infamous fans. New fans, don't be shy, you don't need to have played the first or second installment to enjoy this killer DLC! Check out the gameplay and see for yourselves.
Former PlayStation US bigwig Shawn Layden has weighed in on the subject of video game preservation during a chat with Lan Parties, stating that more should be done by the big players in the industry to help preserve games.
Preservation is important. I’m hoping that more people in the industry, certainly the big players, begin to realize that there’s an obligation and responsibility. This isn’t throw-away stuff we’re making. This is stuff that should be around for a long time because future generations will enjoy it in the same way that we have and it’s criminal that we’re not doing more to protect it.
Sony in particular has come under attack for its poor attitude towards game preservation, having originally announced plans to shutter the PSP, PS Vita, and PS3 stores back in March 2021. This was met with widespread backlash, resulting in the format holder confirming the Vita and PS3 stores would remain open.
Whilst the compang does the bare minimum with backwards compatibility?
Does this mean we can have a lot more "Playstation Classics"? I don't feel like we're getting enough for what was promised, at least they added a few games this month.
Sony is in a position where they could do a lot, with their premium games. They have all the systems in place to do something cool on the psp, ps2 and psx front, but they don't really want to, it seems.
When something wonderful becomes something so mind-numbingly routine.
Forgot to mention the RNG Bullshit which Is World of Warcraft. People got their second legendaries on their alts while others whom spent more time playing didn't get crap.
With a vast array of powers to accompany enormous sandbox environments, Sucker Punch's Infamous games have afforded PlayStation owners with dozens of hours worth of super powered fun. Which one's the best of the bunch?
Not a bad direction list of rating the best Infamous games. Though I would still put the original Infamous over Infamous: First Light simply based on the amount of content afforded in the first game. However, there is no denying that First Light was great!
Infamous Second Son over Infamous...whaaaa
I'm sorry but apart from a decent soundtrack and pretty graphics along with animations Second Son felt like a step back
Story wasn't as good
Characters were forgettable
Delsin just wasn't as likeable
Delsins "I bloody love my powers" development we've seen more times then Cole's "I don't want this" development
Story didn't have a big ass twist
Side characters felt like they were added to show off new powers, more then Infamous 2s
Felt unfinished (the Rock power for example)
Villain wasn't developed well
Felt more repetitive then last games
The one good character, Reggie, they killed off
Lack of morale choices
Lack of move sets for powers
Like I've said only way I could redeem it is if they go off the Evil ending, make Delsin loose control after his brother dying and being outcast by his tribe and have him become the REAL Beast, the one Kessler talked about, John being something else that was mistaken for him.
In the end this would be a Beast origin story and it would be epic. I just think Cole went off the good endings so Delsin should go off the evil ones.
Bring back Cole for the final fight in inFAMOUS 3 and close his story for good.
Seriously with Reggies view on Conduits it would have been more interesting to see him get powers instead and hate himself only to accept himself in the end. Probably should have done a DLC where he survived and got water powers, the other two being the cut powers like glass, paper and steel.
Really hard to choose between the main games. Infamous 1 has the best story but Second Son has the best gameplay. Infamous 2 has the best soundtrack and it has the strongest overall package imo.
I bought the game for the seven dollars, but havent played it yet so much out right now I hope its good.
Omfg this shit looks fun!!! Im buying it tomorrow!
Was so happy to know I didnt need infamous to play got it for 7.99 on PLUS Dling now. I hope its good and if it isnt its just 8 bucks so yeah...
This looks sooo fun!!!
Does anyone know if I can play this without having completed either of the inFamous games?
It looks unrelated and I know it's a story from Zeke, but will it reveal any spoilers from the 2 campaigns? I just can't wait and this is cheap.
