Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 Servers are down, back "ASAP"

@XG247: Looks like people want to play this new 'Battlefield 3' video game or somin?

Well, if you've got the game on the Xbox 360 and attempting to play it online right this very second, well sadly, you can't, the servers are encountering a minor tumble.

The story is too old to be commented.

What is "somin" ??? Supposed to be hip or somin??? :D

Anyways, how about playing the SP while things are getting sorted out?

ddurand12238d ago

because single player is boring.

im installing (ps3) right now. I hope the PS3 servers stay stable. After a long day of work and classes ive been looking forward to this all day.

hope you 360 guys get it sorted out.

Ares84HU2238d ago

How do you know that the SP of BF3 is boring when you just installing the game right now???

People amaze me.

ApplEaglElephant2238d ago

out of all the money you pay for Live, dime of it goes into game servers. You know that? Meaning you are being forced to pay for something you already paid for.

and i just talked to 360 fans or fanboys who somehow thinks that PSN and Live are getting different game servers.

sad thing is PSN has more dedicated servers. lolol

Not sure how that works out really, the percentile of what the Live subscription $ goes towards but if I was paying for Live and wanted to play B3 that bad and this happened I would somewhat be bummed out but you can just pop in another game until the storm blows over. That's exactly what I did when the PSN went down. People freak out to easily these days. I don' have Live but both Live and PSn has had their share of problems so no arguments are necessary. And single player games are awesome, in fact Dragon Age:Origins has me consumed now(late to the party I know haha) to the point where I don't really care what game comes out. I think something is terribly wrong with me haha.

ApplEaglElephant2238d ago

zero percent of what you pay for Live goes to multiplayer game servers.

thats a fact

@appleaglelephant

Dude, just shut up. Your trolling is quite frankly annoying as hell.

@ ApplEaglElephant

How soon we forget the summer of no PSN.

raWfodog2238d ago (Edited 2238d ago )

@ JeffGunz

"How soon we forget the summer of no PSN."

It seems it was you who forgot that it was Spring and only for a month :)

But, yeah, it was no biggie for me since I caught up on a whole bunch of single-player games. Other people were going through withdrawal or something...

you realize xbox live has nothing to do with ea games?

EA games run on their own servers independent of xbox live, EA servers suck...they go down all the time and they cripple EA games

I got booted from NHL several times yesterday because the EA servers were broken...probably due to the battlefield load

this isn't and xbox vs ps3 thing...so stop being a moron

da_2pacalypse2237d ago

the servers were up within 2-3 hours. It's not so bad considering how fun the multiplayer game is. Yes, I had to wait 3 hours to play, but I played for 3 hours after waiting and had a blast :)

Skip_Bayless2237d ago

I don't need to play the SP to know it's boring. Since when has a single player military shooter been not boring? There are very few FPS games that entertain me on the single player component. Only Bioshock and Portal 1/2 entertain me.

ApplEaglElephant2237d ago (Edited 2237d ago )

Let me get this straight.

So you are paying for Live is charging you for something EA is paying.and since you paid EA, Live is charging you for something you paid already.

So tell me how is this not related to Live. Live money should go to game servers, but it doesnt.

and how quick do people forget about Chrismas of no Live

da_2pacalypse2237d ago

@ApplEaglElephant because microsoft can't force any developer to make their games use servers.

LMAO... wasn't there just an article that said.. "Well done EA, this is how you release a game."

What was the point of the shitty beta? I thought it was to get ready for server testing and stress test?

Looks like a beta/demo with 2 weeks to go, wasn't such a good thing.

Spitfire_Riggz2238d ago

Didnt MW2 go down on the first day too though?

miDnIghtEr20C_SfF2237d ago

I don't think they did, but I bought that game about a week early and was playing.

HardCover2237d ago

Maybe it's LIVE's fault, considering this seems to be a LIVE problem.

Works just fine on my PC.

LOOK_AT_THIS_I2237d ago

My Black Ops game didnt work for a damn month properly which led to my trade in...lol....the first few days of boot kicks and not being able to connect were nothing compared to how bad Black Ops was....I can at least play this online.

The squad splitting and icons everywhere on the screen are what is pissing me off with this game. I have had three guys in front of me hidden behind objective points and letter mess that destroys my view.

Jobesy2238d ago

So what was the beta for again ?

Laxman2238d ago

Balancing issues with the gameplay. So much so, that there is a 160MB patch.

JeffGUNZ2238d ago

Yea, but all the diehard BF3 fanboys said it was to stress test the serves.

HSx92238d ago

and all the die hard COD fanboys said it was to stress test the servers.
