Barry from BrutalGamer.com gets a look at the next game out from the Rockstar stable and comes away impressed with the presentation, if not with the gameplay.
It's rare a game does something new these days. It's about how well executed it is.
and what is "anything new"? if you try to make something New, people dont buy your game... There are soo underated Materpieces out there... NEW STUFF... but... underated
Well said, what a load of bull. This game will be great; it's Rockstar.
well said, that is what i was going to say. I hate to say it, but I don't think most games this gen have done nothing new at all. all the best games have mostly perfected stuff that has already been done. the flip side is a lot of the time when a game of this stature trys to do new stuff they risk messing up what made the game so great anyway. if it's the same great max with next gen graphics and physics and the same old great gameplay then I am more then happy with that.
The only game that truly did something new and creative this gen was LBP that I can think of. The problem is damned if you do, damned if you don't. I thought of more. Flower, Demons Souls, Heavy Rain, LA Noire. Try and list more games. I'm clutching at straws a little. Trine and Braid as well.
I think we've been spoiled with the number of games that innovated or tried something new. Nothing wrong with this one playing it safe, but I think people expecting a big jump in what a third person shooter is today will be disappointed. Otherwise, it's looks pretty fun.
If it evokes the same feeling of the past 2 Max Paynes with todays graphics I will be very happy with that alone.
Gotta agree with that! Loved the first two games :D
Sounds like this game was made for you. It really did have that vibe.
