Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 requires a chunky 167meg day one patch in order to be played online.
PS3 version gets that as well.. I'd like to see a changelog of all of the fixes/improvements/tweaks.
Chunky? Pshht... I'll have that d/l'd in a minute.
Yeah. This is nothing. I remember during the dial up days that would have taken ages though lol.
i havent been so excited for a game since COD4. cant wait for tomorrow.
If this holds me like CoD 4 (which I still play to this day), then money well spent!
I do expect these games to be finished when they ship but if a day 1 patch works out all of the bugs (or at least most of them) then I don't really care. As long as it works the first time I go to pay it then whatever.
if you want a bug free game i heard Tetris is pretty good. Besides, after a game goes gold the developers do not all go off and drink champagne, usually they sit around and carry on looking for bugs or ways to optimise. The time between gold and retail often spawns a patch.
Actually believe it or not, tetris has a bug~ lol
pong? space invaders?
167MB is nothing. This game is going to be BAD ASS! I regret not taking the day off tomorrow. :(
took the whole week off for this game
12 1/2 hours!
Maybe itll fix the buggy multiplayer physics its supposedly meant to have.either way this game is a master piece of master pieces
That is quite a big patch when you consider that not long ago this would have been bigger than an xbox live arcade game. Compare to Forza day 1 patch of 7mb. Shows that there is a lot of stuff that crops up after the software goes 'gold' no doubt due to the lead times to print all the discs. Makes you wonder what the testing schedule was like.
Great idea if you own a xbox without the hdd. How about they finish the game before they friggin sell it... pfft!
how'd this get approved? it's old news. 167mb patching being live is news from 2days ago http://n4g.com/news/871715/...
