Seeing Ezio revealed as the guest character during a Soulcalibur V event earlier this week was a surprise. While Ezio fits into the world better than characters with lightsabers, Namco Bandai has not worked with Ubisoft before. They could have pulled in a Capcom character maybe even a hero from Dark Souls since they’re working closely with From Software. Why Ezio and why Ubisoft?

I've never been a fan of the Assassin's Creed series, but NB have a very smart reason for adding him to SCV. I'm definitely going to pick this one up, but I could care less about Ezio being in it. Who knows though, he might end up being a character I end up liking in SCV.

The Barbarian or the Destroyer?

GOD, stop adding western characters!

there are many great characters from other games like Travis Touchdown, Bayonetta, Dante, Vergil or Ken Ogawa

virgil and dante are already in Namco versus Capcom. And i don't think any character in the Soul Calibur series has any guns or anything "futuristic" hence why bayonetta or any of those types of characters are in. it's all about swordplay and close quarters. except for yoda and darth vader of course.

Because god forbid you have a Western character in a Japanese game, right? /sarcasm

It's a good marketing strategy to sell Western games in Japan AND it makes Assassin's Creed fans happy. So what's the problem?

Hell I know its working! I wasnt gonna buy the game until they announced Ezio.

Day freaking 1!

Even though the the new guy Zwei looks pretty similar, I'd like to see Simon Belmont(I think that's his name) from Castlevania: Lord of Shadows with his chain cross. I think he'd make an awesome Soul Calibur guest character.
