finally, maybe I'll be able to stomach more than 20 min of this game, the graphics were so terrible on the console version , so sub- hd, so blurry, just like gtaiv was on console, I could never really enjoy GTAIV on console becaue the terrible graphics were so distracting, the agitation and jaggies everywhere.

Now I play GTAIV all the time on pc, the mods are AMAZING, truely next gen, plus some very creative tweaks and balances have been made, I think I'm going to pick up the complete pack on steam, check this out;

EVERY FREAKING GTA GAME EVER MADE for $12
And people say pc gaming is expensive....lol....fools! It's cheaper in the long run if you actually like playing games.
PC is the only way to game!

BXbomber4564d ago

pc gaming...the only way to game? i rather settle for a near pc gaming experience for $250 rather then built a pc for $1000 just for it to be obsolete in 2-3 years. i'll stick with ma ps3, thx u!

SKUD4564d ago (Edited 4564d ago )

Consoles are already obsolete even before you buy them. PC gaming allows you to keep up rather then taking a step back.

MAJ0R4564d ago (Edited 4564d ago )

well first of all you can buy a PC for around $400 - $500 that can playing any game on the market. as for a PS3 being near the quality of a $1000 PC...

Haha Steam sales baffle me sometimes. You are able to get either GTA IV Complete Edition (which includes gta4 and the episodes) for 13.59. Or GTA complete pack, which includes the complete edition and every other GTA game for 12.49.

I guess less really is more when it comes down to steam.

@BXbomber

A console is not a near pc gaming experience, far from it (and of course you wouldn't really know that unless you were a pc gamer). And unless you just bought the PS3 recently, you didn't pay $250 for it. I have friends that paid over $400 and up for theirs.

electricshadow4564d ago

JUST picked this up. I was waiting for this to come to PC.

TABSF4564d ago

Yeah I got Platinum on PS3 plus all DLC.

Getting the PC version as I did not get to experience LA fully, this is because my EYES were blooding.

Can't wait, PLEASE Red Dead next.

GrumpyVeteran4564d ago

Eh, I would've preferred if Rockstar made RDR on PC rather than L.A. Noire.

john24564d ago

Most of us would've preferred that :(

"Rockstar: 5 Games That Define The Developer"

Includes a game that Rockstar didn't even develop. I can see you did a lot of research for this one.

Profchaos1603d ago (Edited 1603d ago )

There's a huge backlist of forgotten titles they could have chosen surfing h3o for example. From memory rockstar did develop aspects or assist with aspects of la noire including the control scheme and the final polish and gave it a push to get it out the door but it wasnt really all theirs

SkatterBrain1603d ago

Grand Theft Auto, Bully, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne, Midnight Club

ginganinja1603d ago

I mean, they've got games from 3 different development teams there;
Bully is Rockstar Vancouver, LA noire is Team Bondi and the other 3 from Rockstar North.
If the focus was supposed to be on the GTA dev, then maybe Manhunt and Lemmings (which they did as DMA design) would have been smarter choices.

isarai1604d ago

Im probably alone but The Warriors is one of the best R* games they've made. Not only did they make a great film licensed game, they made an entire prequel to the film thats just as good aswell as origin stories for all characters. Also one of the funnest beat'em ups ever made.

porkChop1604d ago

You know, it's interesting. Rockstar Toronto (which isn't even in Toronto) developed that game. But since then Rockstar has just treated them as a porting studio. The Warriors is the only game that team ever made themselves and it was fantastic.

Skuletor1603d ago

That game was awesome and came with so much extra content like the versus modes (King of the Hill was great) , sidescrolling beat em up mode etc. Definitely one of my fav from the PS2/Xbox Era. And it had co-op

King_Noctis1603d ago (Edited 1603d ago )

The Warrior is one of the most underrated games ever. I got it on my PSP, and it instantly hooked me from start to finish. The game’s ending scene is simply awesome.

PhoenixUp1604d ago

Shame Rockstar didn’t even release 5 new games this whole generation

Juusterey1603d ago

I think Gta online is what really defines them

Welshy1603d ago (Edited 1603d ago )

I know this is an unpopular opinion and I'm braced for the dislikes, but I haven't been able to get through a Rockstar game since the PS2 era.

I appreciate how pretty and detailed their worlds are, but everything GTA4 onwards has been horrible to actually play for me. Whether it's Arthur having the momentum of a cruise ship and taking 3 paces to stop moving in RDR2, or when GTA4 thought it was Gran Turismo and wouldn't allow you to corner at more than 5mph. They seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of realism = immersion when they are entirely different and it just gets in the way for me.

Their gameplay and mission design do nothing but pull me out of enjoying their best in class world design and writing, it majorly bums me out to be honest because I'd love to be as into RDR2 etc as everyone else got but I can't get over the hurdle of actually playing their games.

MONOLITHICIDE1603d ago

I really don't get it...

The same game as release 8 years ago getting just as good reviews today as it did back then.

I really loved LA Noire. But after 8 years I don't see how it can be just as good as it was then. There have been a ton of advancements in games since then. To me, if you simply remaster a game I would not give it more then a 7.5. Go and redo the game entirely taking full advantage of nextgen hardware (aka RE2 and FF VII) sure I would give it a much better rating, but to simply port the game this is ridiculous. Gamers get on developers and publishers all the time. But, for some reason, when a great game is simply given a new coat of paint gamers seem to think that is acceptable.
