War Of The Words: Battlefield 3 VS. Modern Warfare 3 | GameBlurb

GameBlurb writes, "The video game industry’s most debated topic this year has concerned which first-person shooter, Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, will reign supreme – or perhaps, which will rake in the most cash. Forums, blogs and social networking sites like Twitter have been ablaze with speculation and rabid fanboy criticism of both games, but the talk certainly hasn’t been limited to forum dwellers and bloggers. Namely, EA head-honcho John Riccitiello and Sledgehammer Games GM Glen Schofield, among others, have had some pretty nasty exchanges."

The more crap these devs and publishers talk, the harder they have to work on their respective games to make them the best they can be. Gamers should win by default.

All I have to do is look at this and know without doubt that when I pick up my PC and PS3 version next week, I win.

Oh god another one?

I'm buying them both, BF3 on PC, MW3 on PS3. Seriously, who cares.

It's more about the trash talk both publishers are talking about with each other.

If its a case of which game offers the best visual experience, physics/destruction and most probably gameplay then its BF3 hands down. I am itching to play this on ULTRA setting. I'm excited. As excited as I was when I unwrapped my Neo-Geo many moons ago.

lol..no. These are video games. Its all about which one will be fun to play and will last you months. Modern Warfare 3 is the one. It has dozens of modes so you never get bored. It has an epic campaign, it has Spec Ops and survival. Modern Warfare 3 easily wins in replay-ability and fun. It also has split-screen online multiplayer so you can play with your brother/friend/girlfriend/wife .

Battlefield 3 wins in graphics and destruction. Uh that's pretty much it. It doesn't have many modes and no split-screen. Its just a pretty game with a great engine.

So are you buying an engine or a game?

What about when CoD pulls a new engine out of thier asses, will you be buying a game or an engine? herp-derp
