2.5D graphics-it’s like old school with a modern twist. Is this the future? Follow the link for an in depth-analysis on franchises that have made the leap from 2D to 3D, as we question the future of some of our favorite video game franchises such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario, Metroid, Megaman and more.
BLG writes, "There are many fantastic and iconic weapons in game history, but some are significantly more memorable than others. When we think of iconic game weapons, these are the top 20 that come to mind."
You forgot one and it's a doozy. The weapon is kindness in undertale. :) defeats countless enemies.
Sonic the Hedgehog has a long and turbulent history in videogames, but which are the best games featuring the blue bur?
Generations over Mania? Please… Generations doesnt have any new ideas in the levels/bosses.
Also a top 7 of Sonic games shouldn’t have any 3D crap and contain at least one of the 8-bit titles.
Sonic CD getting snubbed is weird. Number 1 is definitely interchangable between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Top 7 for me
7 cd
6 mania
5 Frontiers
4 sonic 3
3 sonic 1
2 sonic and knuckles
1 sonic 2
Sometimes I feel like the Sonic Advanced games just didn’t exist with how much it’s always forgotten 😭
Polygon: "To get back to the way Ocarina made us feel, it was necessary to reject almost everything about it."
I generally agree with the author here. However, if I had to point out a single game as the 'anti-Breath of the Wild,' that would be Majora's Mask. Pretty much everything in that game is interconnected, relies on something that the player must have done previously, is timed, and can be considered a puzzle in itself.
but still considered the best of the seties.
i would have liked botw to be more like ocarina.
25 years from today whatever Zelda is out people would too be looking fondly at Breath of the Wild.
Ah the more simple times of the 2020s.
My personal favorite games are the first two Oddworlds in PS One. 2.5D works if the world is still alive. I enjoyed Shadow Complex and TRINE as well this gen because they have rich environments. I personally look at 2D as just another camera angle. Games should use it but not 100% of the time unless the game is designed for it like a Fighter, although I would love to see a FF Dissidia on PS3 in HD.
There should always be variety.
I dont think 3d will catch on just yet, I still think its abit too early
rather have re-make for CONTRA in 3d better graphic engine.
LEGACY OF WAR WAS CRAPTASTIC
