"So what was hot, and what was not about the Expo?
Which games and publishers sparkled, and which have room for improvement?"
Activision fails at PR...what a surprise! Not.
I did have a nice exchange with their tech support the other day though, when I called about Black Ops, so at least there's that.
Wow, some surprises there...Sesame Street? It sounds like Battlefield 3 made a big push at the expo.
Being from Double Fine, Sesame Street was always going to be quality. Can't wait to play more than just the demo
This will be a good way to get wives to buy a Kinect and 360...
Event organoizers, that is, not EB, but the actual Convention Centre organizers, were very surprised to see SO many femal, (most aged over 30) attending the show, many without children. Plus they commented that they were expecting a good turn-out, but nothing like what actually did happen. The event is ALREADY pre-booked for 2012, and it'll be in Sydney this time at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. That's how happy Tradevent were with the show.
Some of the best attended games at the show were family games. While the 'staple' games for 'core gamers' were all well recieved, it was the family orientated games that really copped a flogging customer wise. Ubisofts Dance game was always going strong, and proved to be one of the most attended activities at the show. Thanksfully the penthouse girls did not have a go at that, the ensuing resulkts would have been rather embarrasing for them. As wearing 3 small triangles of cloth trying to pass as a costume would have ended up on the floor .. .not what the mums in the show would have liked to see.
The booth babes who stand around trying to make it look like they are enjoying themselves while sweaty people rub up against them?
