Rage - The Offical Gameranx Review

Bethesda Softworks, the extremely talented developers behind titles such as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, have only recently released Rage. Rage is a post-apocalyptic game which focuses on you – an ark survivor – who has just awoken from cryosleep. Massive meteors have struck the Earth and completely changed its face. Mutants, bandits, and brigands all travel the Wasteland; most of them are merely trying to survive. Read on! (PC, PS3, Rage, Xbox 360) 8.5/10

Hunted sucked and now rage sucks.
Just work on open world rpg's bethesda its what your good at.
Always stick to what your good at and leave all the dumb FPS's to other companies.

Rage does NOT suck in any way. You also need to learn that Rage is an ID game not an Open world dragon hunting Bethesda game.

Bethesda is only the publisher, not the developper.

The developer happens to be iD, which have a pretty big hand in giving birth to the FPS genre.
So, if anything, iD should've sticked with making a dark corridor shooter instead of trying to do something different. After all, who needs innovation, right?

They didn't do anything different, unless by 'different' you mean ruining your company's reputation in a matter of two weeks, then yeah that's something different than a lot of companies these days.

... and they did do something different. They created an engine that allows for some of the most artistic vistas seen in gaming while running at 60fps.
They also went for a game that had more of an emphasis on story and decided to include car combat/racing, something outside of their comfort zone.

I think this score is about right, Rage is not without its flaws but over all its a fun game with some nice visuals and 60 frames per second on consoles.

I just finished the Game quite an addictive game took me 17.5 hours..... only problem is it seemed they slapped the ending last minute just to release it.

I can honestly say I had more fun with Rage vs Deus ex (im comparing it since I finished that game recently and it has some RPG elements). Rage just seems fun but you cant play for hours on end in one session like deus ex.

minor ending spoiler ahead.........

felt strange that a game with bosses and mini bosses throughout had no last boss, last level itself was beautiful but just a few enemies, some button presses and then a cutscene.

This game was a rental only... im sorry i bought it day 1. at best 7/10.
