GB : Check out this amazing speedrun of Dark Souls. I can't believe people have skills to beat the game like this. Although, this isn't surprising as, if you know the levels well and enemy patterns well, you can blaze through the game as well. But in 1 hour 26 minutes? No way.

This guy, however, just shows a "feature" in the game. We see an enemy and decide to battle him to get his souls. However, some fights are better to be avoided and this guys just shows us that. Sometimes its my greed that makes me die in the game. Just because that enemy drops 1000 souls makes my greed cloud reason and I engage battle. Thats the beauty of the Souls games.
If you finish the game a few times, you pretty much learn all the spawn points and enemy patterns.
I know I could finish Demon Souls with in an hour or two by the time I point it down.
And even less if I did a NG+. (NG+ take about 45 mins or less)
But it does take patience and persistent on the player's part, so kudos to him.
This doesn't have anything to do with difficulty. the same could be said of Contra, which is widely considered a difficult game.
my NG+ was about three hours and half
thats just the way demon souls was... im getting the hang of dark souls much faster i can say ..
but without a nexus its bound to take longer
The there is a big difference between a side-scroller shooter vs action-RPG.
The hardest part of demons souls was figuring out boss tactics.. some worked REALLY well, while others don't work at all.
Once you the the best tactic, you could fall the boss within seconds.
But in Contra, it was all you and your gun baby <3
savor the moments and terror. Not run by it all. Stop and smell the roses, then die. Sounds like it could be applied to real life.

The souls games are about learning from your mistakes and knowing what to do when. Naturally it will become second nature if done enough times.
I could yammer on about this all day. Long story short... it just proves that they got the games base concept and nothing more. Still a feat nontheless I guess.
i like to take my time and not just run through it. I know the purpose for this video is just to show the skills and to show that it can be done. But most of the times we buy games and enjoy them instead of just running though them
I'm sure the guy played through it the same as the rest of us when he first got it and played it, so he got the enjoyment of playing it normally. Now he's obviously tried to go through it as fast as possible to set a record, which is adding to his enjoyment of the game even further. I think he's getting his moneys worth.
It seems like Dark Souls hasn't been out long enough for people to already be this good at this game.

true true.......then play as a thief and focus on speed. quick attacks, fast dodging, thats how I play.
its pretty fun, im sure you would love it, 100% sure.
when I couldnt roll fast i would rather take off armor to not sacrifice speed.
in Ninja Gaiden, you have insane agility to dodge attacks from the get go.

He's actually really easy to dodge once you learn his move set.
He could be leveling for all we know though also for some bosses (probably all) you can summon help if you are in human form. For one boss I summoned help and beat it a lot faster than I thought took like 2-3 minutes.
Highest level Pyromancer with Fire Orb and Fireball could rape any boss in seconds!
Oh and the word Bollocks. I've been saying it alot.

I have played the game for 63 hours and everything he done in these videos looks legit, he just missed out a lot of optional stuff.
so beat the game without new game plus defualt weapons hour half then come talk to me man

The game shop I was renting it from thought it was a rational explanation.
You can only be invaded by those who are within 10% of your level.
The game is garbage if you only run and kill every monster quick because you learned the patterns.
I'm not going to watch the video...I'll continue with my own adventure!
