That should be immediately indicative of the kind of game Dark Souls is; an altogether different experience from the games we’ve grown accustomed to. This game consumes you whole. The game is hard. Am I effectively communicating this?
I spent the first 5 or so hours coping with this difficulty. Why was it so fun? I couldn’t understand. I was poking and prodding around, wary of traps and constantly vigilant. For the first time ever, I was afraid of dying in a video game. Conceptually speaking, this game should be pissing me off yet here I am, thorougly enjoying the agony
