Mass Effect: Gamespot's Video Review

Mass Effect's visuals are excellent. Facial animations are among the best in gaming: Characters move their lips believably with the dialogue, further expressing themselves with subtle tilts of the head or with a slight raise of the eyebrows. Character models are beautifully detailed, such as with your Krogan teammate Wrex, whose every wrinkle and ridge is carefully textured and molded.

Mass Effect looks wonderful. From an artistic perspective, the game looks great, if not quite original. Planet outposts tend to use only one of two interior layouts, and environments owe a lot to games and films of the past (much of the game's look wouldn't be out of place in a Halo title). But even with the obvious inspirations, Mass Effect still conveys its vision clearly, thanks to meticulous character designs and dramatic set pieces, such as the Citadel itself.

Say what you will about how great ME is as a non-rpg-10 hour game...

But dont DARE place ME's Animation near Heavenly Sword,Bioshock,Uncharted or even Resident Evil 1. This guy is just a complete moron.

If ME is among the best animation hes seen in a game, that just makes this review 100% BS. He isn't qualified to review ME.

ME should get a 9 from Gs.

the mass effect facial expressions looks like dog poop infront of uncharted's. both games are differentbut when it comes to visuals and facial animations... voice acting and background score. uncharted wins hands down.and its the only thing where u can compare both games.

mass effect is a must buy for rpg lovers and i'll get my hands on it ASAP.

one more thing. was the review about mass effect or the fat reviewer himself? that guy is a JERK

HAHA AFTERWATHCING THIS ID review i see the onyl gae mass effect 8.5/10 to apease ps3 owners as he says it him self its a great game amazing story lien/fun combat and still gives it a 8.5 i think gamepspot domnt have time to review rpgs as all of their reviews on rpg have been 8-9 nothing has passed 9.1/10 that an rpg p.s bioshock is not an rpg even tho tis 18hours of playtime no close
