IncGamers: DICE says that you are.
Indeed its got alot of potential for a sequel maybe a non-linear structure a large area of the city to explore (not GTA large but say Arkham city large) maybe you have a safehouse in a maintenance room in the upper tiers of the skyscrapers which you have to come back to to get your mission objective, a day/night cycle also, optional quests maybe you can go down to the street level where goverment agents can spot you so you have blend in with the crowd 'assassins creed' style and complete objectives on the ground doing so maybe incorporate stealth gameplay and takedowns into the game better?
Nice ideas you have there. "If we were to release a new game, we’d know what to improve and how to reach a broader audience." A little concerned about that statement. I'm just hoping they don't steer the game closer to becoming a full fledged FPS in their attempt at gaining a larger fanbase. Like gillri said, incorporating stealth elements would be nice, as the gameplay wouldn't have that "cat and mouse chase" feel to it.
I actually wouldn't mind them removing the shooting elements, it felt wrong in the first game and was much more satisfying taking a gun carrying idiot down by hand or foot. maybe give Faith some smoke/stun grenades and that would be far better than a gun
... and just focus on what it does best, the freerunning across gorgeous levels, by turning it into a 'racing' game... hopefully with levels/challenges/races all around the world.
This game doesn't need a story(was boring) and should just focus on awesome courses, multiplayer, and challenges. They should probably include a course editor as well.
I'd buy that for a dollar - or 60 even...
fairly interested. a non-linear structure would be nice like gillri says. i'd also like less combat, that's what let down the first one - too many peeps with guns.
I literally just beat Mirror's Edge again last night and this game needs to have a sequel.
agreed its an amazing game.
I actually have Faith's tattoo full size down my right arm
Cant say I'm too excited...
The Game Community NEEDS IT! Less needed fighting, more ways to go, more game, more open-ended mission. That's all we want! :D
with the new frostbite engine it would look sick
Dice, just make the game, and take my money...... Please?
What if Dice and Bioware made beyond good and evil 2
TAKEALLMYMONEY.JPG MYBODYISREAY.AVI seriosuly. day one buy. I love ME
Still play ME from time to time, just to have a taste of the atmosphere. The game is state of the art, immersive & beautiful! I loved it from the moment i 1st played it, what design! The game's release was badly timed back in 2008, hope DICE does nothing to the gameplay, only build upon it. It is Brilliant. ME needs a sequel, but do not change the mechanics, the learning curve enhances the realism. Hope their statement 'Gamers are ready' meant, it was beyond it's time and now gamers will get the gameplay instead of finding it too difficult. The game is still one of the most fresh IPs out there. Hope Lisa Miskovsky will be contributing the music again.
IMO Mirrors Edge was way underrated. The only thing I found myself disliking about the game was having to get used to normal fps controls afterwards and I'd gladly put myself through it again for a sequel.
Yes, my body is ready! bring it on DICE!
Make it happen :D! Mirror's Edge was truly unique, and it'd be a shame not to see another one. I just hope they keep the core elements.. The sleek art style, and parcour and maybe even the combat (read: combat, not gunplay - I enjoyed wall-takedowns and the ninja-style brawling you could chain together to take down the occasional lone officer... But Mirror's Edge was about traversal, chase/escape and fluidity - not fighting )
Just maintain the original Artstyle and atmosphere please. not a big fan of changes.
Here's how it works DICE: I give u money u give me gaem K?
