Smudged Cat Games is going for a lot less hassle this time around; no XBLA for Growing Pains. This title looks to improve upon Shuggy’s and (for me Super Meat Boy’s) longer or more difficult stage flaws: check points. Grueling platformers can definitely be as hard as they want to be for me, and they can even reward me for a perfect (no-death) run. However, I want some save points while I learn the levels.
Thankfully, Smudged Cat has heard my whelps. They’ve also redesigned the controllable character, which now looks like some ghoulish rendition of Addams’ Family’s cousin “It.”
