VGW: Overall, for fans of the RPG genre, this will certainly reward your desire for accomplishment and difficulty. While the difficulty is occasionally irksome and difficult for the sake of being difficult, the challenge is almost always its own payoff. But be warned now and take heed when I say: the game requires zen-like patience and a determination to see through rough patches. It’s not elitist to say if you get frustrated easily, or like the hand-holding in most games, this will not be a game for you. I can say that while I’ve enjoyed my time in Dark Souls, I will most likely not give it a second play-through. Which, at the end of the day, is criticism enough.
