Not happening.

It will most likely have the same 4 hours of brainless shooting mixed with tough guy one-liners we've come to expect from this franchise. The only time you'll walk around and interact with NPC's will be for 3 minutes right at the beginning. Then on you go to the rinse and repeat gameplay where enemies respawn instead of die, and the only way to make them disappear is to constantly run forward guns blazing like Rambo. Just like you would do in a real war situation. Except then you would be dead in 2 seconds. :)

Hey thanks for the full review of the game. 9.5/10 from all major review sites. They're gonna say the exact same thing you just said but with Activision PR spin. Sad but true.

If that happens, so be it. Theres nothing sad about it. The MW series doesn't have the best SP campaigns IMO, but no one expects a riveting SP from MW games anyways. Its all about the multiplayer for most people.

The reason COD games do so well with critics is because they base their review mostly on the fantastic MP experience, not the SP.

Same way most reviewers largely ignored the abysmal MP experience of MGS4 because they know that its not the meat and potatoes of the game.

If people were okay when reviewers refused to deduct points for MGS4's crap multiplayer, then why do they have a problem when reviewers don't deduct points for MW2's subpar campaign?

MGS4 has NOTHING to do with MW3. I'm amazed with how much you tend to troll Sony in every comment you make. This is an "article" about an arcade FPS's story and you somehow go off topic with a pointless insult against a story driven stealth game that's over 3 years old. Amazing. EDIT: @ below I'm not going to answer any of your questions, if I feed trolls they keep coming back.

Anyway Treyrch tells better stories. [email protected] and Blops had good stories I kinda got into. The only Modern Warfare that had a halfway decent story was COD4 the original. MW2 was utterly terrible.

LOGICWINS2255d ago (Edited 2255d ago )

LOL, the point of my comment flew right past your head. Re-read my comment. No one compared MGS4 to MW3. I just compared the way critics reacted towards MGS4 and MW2. Particularly how they virtually ignored ONE aspect of the game(MGS4's MP and MW2 SP) in favor of the better aspect of the games(MGS4's SP and MW2's MP).

"I'm amazed with how much you tend to troll Sony in every comment you make."

Off topic.

"This is an "article" about an arcade FPS's story and you somehow go off topic with a pointless insult against a story driven stealth game that's over 3 years old."

????

Ummm....can u please show me where I "insulted" MGS4? MGS4 isn't a human being, therefore it doesn't have feelings/emotions. How could I insult it?

i know I'm gonna get disagrees but i actually enjoy call of duty stories their interesting

LOGICWINS2255d ago

I enjoy the setpieces in COD games. But the stories themselves are difficult to understand.

kaozgamer2254d ago

haha ikr. heaps of people say the storyline is terrible. i mean cmon, its a pretty decent story

narutogameking2255d ago

More like 6 hours.

"The only time you'll walk around and interact with NPC's will be for 3 minutes right at the beginning."

This isn't an RPG. I'm glad they keep NPC interaction to a minimum.

Modern Warfare 2 had one of the worst story's in modern gaming, in my opinion.

It was convoluted and told for the most part over global maps with voice overs. A pathetic attempt at story telling and I expect the same from the MW3.

M-Easy2255d ago

MW2's "story" literally made me sick to my stomach.

x8002255d ago

this is exactly what they said about MW2+BO

Fishy Fingers2255d ago

I enjoy most of the COD campaigns, short and sweet. With me getting my money's worth from the multiplayer. So no doubt I'll enjoy blasting through this too before hoping online.

Doesn't always have to be deep and emotional. A 5-6 hour spectacle that doesn't pad itself out with filler will do me nicely.

I mean err... F#^k COD.
