ZTGD | Dead Nation: Road of Devastation Review

Drew Leachman writes: Last year, PlayStation 3 owners got their hands on the zombie killing shoot em up Dead Nation. I really enjoyed the over-the-top action game back in its release. Thanks to the new Road of Devastation DLC, we have a new reason to get back into the post-apocalyptic world to massacre hundreds more undead. (Dead Nation, Dead Nation: Road of Devastation, PS3) 8.5/10

This DLC is actually amazingly fun, and well worth the $4. The breakdown in this review is nice and I too have been disheartened upon reaching round 7 only to die and have to start over, but it's also a lot of fun having a challenge there.

Hands-down the best part about this though is bringing a buddy with you to play this co-op (this was also my favorite aspect about the main game content). The added respawn chambers make the absurdly hard rounds much more balanced, and you definitely get a few laughs when things start getting overly crazy. The other thing I really was into, was the new "grenade", the anti-personnel turret. That this is a beast, helps to add yet another strategy element into planning your defenses/offenses, and is a lot of fun to watch. The whole DLC is really about properly planning which upgrades are more or less important, and when to go after each, so as I said, a lot of fun and good challenge provided here.
