Why the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer "Experience" doesnt live up to Expectations

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2011. Following the hit 2009 GoTY winner Uncharted 2, how could it not be? It followed the same path as most games, and released a beta to test its servers, gameplay, and other aspects of their game. Unlike other games, however, a month before release Naughty Dog decided to release a version of the multiplayer for all gamers to play. Titled the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer “Experience”, it was given out to gamers to give them a taste of the multiplayer that they will most likely be playing. Being a heavy Uncharted fan, it was natural for me to get this, and try it out. All I can say is “Wow, I am heavily disappointed”.

It's nice to see more and more people be honest. It means ND can take note, snap out out of it and fix the stuff that actually needs work.

Seriously you can't say anything on here without get called on it. Yes some people like the game so much that they'll complain untill they get it right.

Based on the fourms still dosen't look like the new patch has helped. I'm getting worried about ND now, dosen't look like the fourms are improving that much.

Come on ND....wake the f*ck up

The latest MP version is definitely better than the June beta.

We don't need an article telling us "why" as if the author's opinion was fact.

Before the patch, I was probably the biggest whiner on N4G. After the patch, I love the core gameplay(Health level, aiming sensitivity, stopping power, weapon tuning)

-Grenades aren't going off. This is happening more often in my matches.(I saved a vid of this going on)

-Grenade explosion radius is off. Sometimes a grenade can explode right next to someone and they don't get stunned at all.

@MrSpace- Judging from the forums, there were more people complaining before the patch than after the patch.

Right now there are just minor bugs to work out. If you don't like the way the beta plays now, then chances are you never liked UC3 MP because IMO this beta(after the patch) exceeds the summer beta.

I agree with this. I mean, I cant tell if its that I cant do really good anymore, or that the multiplayer is genuinely "bad". I just prefer the beta to this...which is kinda sad

LOGICWINS2325d ago (Edited 2325d ago )

I think the REAL reason why people think the summer beta was better was because everyone was new to the game(same playing field). In this Subway beta, you can tell that there are people who played the summer beta to death and are VERY experienced with the game.
People getting owned more = more people unhappy.

I don't want to be one of those guys who say "Stop whining simply because you suck". But I have to admit that there might be some truth to it.

The beta I'm experiencing now is a mirror image of the summer beta. Only difference is that we have more levels and the players are much better.

I agree with this, but I was someone who could average 20 kills a match in U2, and U3 beta so I am in no way "Inexperienced" when it comes to the game. I played the crap out of the beta, and rocked it. The Multiplayer (Not a beta) just feels different. Simple as that.

The multiplayer has issues that needs to be sorted out if it wants to be taken as a true competitor to the likes of Battlefield and Call of Duty, however, it is still fun, and I love it in its current state.

Which is why i only care to play the epic singleplayer! :-) i cannot wait to dive into the campaign! I'll dip into the multiplayer at some point after the single player! which will likely be after 2 or 3 play throughs! :-)

You, my friend, are a very smart man.
