Review: Forza Motorsport 4

Forza 3, released in 2009, was Microsoft’s second shot on the Xbox 360 at the major car simulation market dominated by Sony’s juggernaut Gran Turismo franchise. It was an extraordinary attempt from Take 10 Studios and was received well. Sales still didn’t match the, in my opinion, inferior Gran Turismo 5, but it was a brilliant game which was unfortunately up against a bigger brand.

Quality over quantity, thats what you're seeing here folks.
Thats not to say forza 4 is lacking in the content department, far from it, Forza 4 has even more features added over Forza 3, more cars, Top Gear, Rivals and other goodies. All of which were half-baked or stuffed in there to make the game seem grand. Turn 10's work ethic seems to be that if you're gonna put it in the game, it's gotta be polished and not look or feel like an after thought.
Thats why 100% of the cars are premium quality with interiors. Thats why all the modes feel like they belong in this extra polished package. That is why Forza 4 and the series maintains AAA QUALITY status

Just wow! GT5 premium cars still look better than Forza 4's cars plus Forza seems to not have the dynamic weather and time of GT5 and that makes a big difference in the racing experience. Forza is a great arcade game while GT5 is more of a simulator.

So, 20% of GT5's cars edge out Forza 4's cars, and 80% look like crap...meanwhile ALL of Forza's cars look great and have full interior. Not to mention better environments, and even a better presentation as far as menus go...

If the demo is represents what to expect from the final product, I can honestly say what have the xbox fans been talking about....

Its so cartoony and the feel still is not as realistic as as GT5.. plus look at those jaggies.

Quit crying. Just buy the damn game if you're a car enthusiast. Otherwise, quit talking up your poor excuse for a racing game in a Forza Review.

Forza has outscored GT every time a new one comes out. GT isn't king anymore. Get over it.

"Its so cartoony and the feel still is not as realistic as as GT5.. plus look at those jaggies."

In other words: "WAHHHHH!"

Its more like Forza was overhyped and it really is not that good....

BTW scores mean crap all just look at halo reach medeocre game getting 10's what a joke money can buy to increase scores.

The game feels too arcadey.... and guess what that is my opinion, I guess if i were a car enthusiast with you logic I would buy EVERY car game out there.

Its funny how the xbox crowd always thinks every Forza will be better than every GT that comes out... sorry but its no comparison because its far from a sim type game.

"Game feels too arcadey"

I guess you better turn off all assists then...

It's not a matter of thought, it's a matter of fact. I haven't seen GT prove anything this generation, nor has anyone else. Forza has continually outscored GT, and that says something about which one is better. Gran Turismo was amazing back in its prime, but things have changed. You can argue that reviews are opinion, but the average opinion, like metacritic tallies, should give you a good idea of the quality.

Halo Reach was mediocre? Oh okay, sorry, must have missed the memo. Here I thought Reach scored well and sold well because people liked it. It is so kind of you to pave the way to enlightenment for me. I would have been thinking games were good simply because they were. You've opened my eyes. I should now hate great games if they're not on the console of YOUR choice.
