Battlefield 3 producer Patrick Liu has said that "We don't have any plans to make Battlefield an annual title".
good move, I want them to focus on quality as usual.
Didn't DICE already say they're going to alternate between MoH and Battlefield yearly anyway? I don't see how they'd have the time or resources to make another Battlefield game in a year they're making a new MoH.
Well, EA said they were going to alternate between Battlfield and Medal of Honor, not DICE. DICE only worked on Medal of Honor (2010) multiplayer to give Danger Close a helping hand. From now on though Danger Close are the sole developer of the Medal of Honor series (although they are using Frostbite 2). DICE will stick to Battlefield and any other projects of theirs such as Mirror's Edge, and other outsourcing jobs for EA (at one point they were working on terrain design for NFS games). So to sum up, apart from providing the engine for the next MoH, DICE are not actually making the game, Danger Close is.
Ah my mistake then, thanks for clearing that up.
Likely Mirror's Edge 2 or Bad company 3 for 2012/2013. Batttlefield 2143 for 2013-2015?
I bet Bad Company 3 will out within the year, come on its EA
mirror's edge 2 next year. Bad Company 3 is not a guarantee in the coming years.
Then why the rush this year? I would rather play BF3 on the ps4 the way it was meant to look and play then on hardware that cannot handle the load to do what was originally meant to do. Which was to blow our minds. Sorry but the gameplay, lack of button mapping, crappy graphics, and other issues makes me want to forget about this being on consoles until the WiiU version comes out.
You already can play it the way its meant to be played on hardware that does it justice.... It's called buy a gaming PC, which would cost no more than a PS4...
PS4 isn't likely to come out in the next 2 years. get a PC or play it on console.
...then you have no chance of beating Call of Duty. Activision has multiple studios working on Call of Duty games. Each COD game gets approximately a 2 year dev cycle. It's too bad EA is not smart enough to do the same.
