DICE Not Ruling Out Single-Player DLC for Battlefield 3

In a recent interview with AusGamers, DICE was asked if they'd consider differentiating their post-release DLC strategy from their competitors by including single-player, campaign-specific content alongside the regular multiplayer maps and the like.

"We’re not ruling out any possibilities," said Marketing Manager Gustav Enekull. "But at this point we’ve only announced the Back to Karkand expansion pack, coming out later this year. What I can say, is that we want our dlc -- no matter how it’s set -- to be a new experience for the player. And that -- in theory -- could just be an extension of the co-op, for example.

i doubt i even play the SP... its all about MP for me..

I'm so bored of SP stories now, they're all the same. Same as B:BC2 it'll be straight to MP for me. What would you rather have dumb/obvious/predictable/impos sible AI or dynamic players online!?

DasBunker2239d ago (Edited 2239d ago )

strong disagrees.. maybe if instead of making an SP DICE focused solely on MP they would have improved console graphics and give a less glitchy beta.. just super saiyan 5

Come on, *I* could twist that around.

"Would you rather have cheating, annoying, no-life, dummy players online or an intense and immersive mission?"

See. :P

Games like Mass Effect and Fallout have shown that if done right, single-player DLC can be far superior than extra maps and modes if done right.

Sounds like a cool concept ,just like they did in ME2 w/ the Shadow Broker add on DLC .

Good on you Dice.
Some of us still prefer a solid campaign to endless deathmatching.

DasBunker2239d ago (Edited 2239d ago )

endless rushing and conquesting

FTFY

Dino campaign where you shoot down a T-Rex in a jet.

bigboss9112239d ago

I was just coming in to post something similar.
8 player onslaught dino rush mode.
Instead of arming bombs, you arm beacons for a rescue chopper. Even the plant eating ones can get in the way. They make you stagger from them walking and running away from the more violent ones. One city and one jungle map. also it has to be cheap or free.
