Fighting Force – PSN Review by Brash Games

It says a lot about the overall quality of Eidos’ Fighting Force PSN download when the most special moment it has to offer happens to be the sight of the original PlayStation logo, followed by that turquoise piracy message. Seeing those distinctive images flash up on the screen, many middle-aged gamers will feel an overwhelming nostalgic shiver running up their spines.

Lots of nostalgia here, but I'm sure the game doesn't hold up these days.

TGL Retro Review: Fighting Force

TheGamingLiberty.com:

"During development Fighting Force was originally intended to be Streets of Rage 4. Despite it being re-worked into a new IP it still retains some of what made Streets of Rage great but walks a tightrope when presenting that action on a 3D plane which tends to make game play a little sluggish."

Good old days of arcade machines and PS1 !

JellyJelly4593d ago

I had high hopes for this game back in the day, wishing it would be a Streets of Rage in 3D. Unfortunately it was very poor and didn't live up to my expectations.

nolifeking4593d ago

I felt the same way. Hell, sometimes I throw the disc in just to make sure I was justified in my disappointment.

Arcades were more or less dead when PS1 launched. Arcades were great in the 80s and early 90s. Still remember when SF2 and MK hit the arcade. Great times! Also TMNT arcade was great fun too!

I loved playing this game in Co-Op, never played the sequel though. It looked terrible.

Title needs to be fixed. Fighting Force hit PSN about 100 years ago for us.

If you guys are gonna comment without reading the article, can you at least read the first line of the blurb?

TheCopyNinja4592d ago (Edited 4592d ago )

I did read the first line which is why I said the title needs to be fixed. The title is misleading making people think Fighting Force just came to PSN when its been on PSN for a long ass time already. It just came to PSN for EU. You just proved me point.
