Just give up! Steam was good enough. EA being greedy and trying to have it all is just crazy.

thats just a dumb comment, why would you want competition to disappear??? its kinda of a fact that if EA manages to somehow compete with Steam on a similar level then we are gonna keep getting tons of new features or discounts to attract attention to one product or the other, i personally dont see anything wrong with that

Well everyone has there opinion sir.
Eeven thoe i understand were you comming from i agree to some extent about them being greedy but i like origin' with EA DEADICATED SERVERS.
For me i wish they put most of if not all there games into origin thats PC compatable. reduce prices to a tempting price tag give decent offers from time to time.

I think others devs follow suite.

Ubisoft and Activision already have their own digital stores.
Even THQ has one from what I recall.
EA's origin isn't really all that new either as it is virtually the same thing as their old EA Store, they just added a few features to the download manager and slapped on a new name.

Origin and Steam aren't the only two competitors. There's Impulse, along with other digital retailers such as D2D, GreenManGaming and GamersGate.

... then there's GFWL sitting at the bottom of the barrel.

Steam is good because the games are cheap. Those prices are hard to compete with.

By not forcing people to use their service. Competition is GOOD, and forcing someone to use your service doesn't make customers want makes customers bitch.
