"Mercury Hg is the third game in the ‘Mercury’ franchise, and the first to grace the Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 with its presence. The first game in the franchise, developed by Awesome Studios in 2005 was a PSP title called Archer Maclean’s Mercury, and it would go on to spawn 2006’s Mercury Meltdown developed by Ignition Banbury on Sony’s Playstation 2 and PSP. Each game in the franchise uses tilt gameplay as its core mechanic with the first comparable game popping into mind being 1984’s arcade masterpiece Marble Madness. Though different as you don’t directly interact with the mercury blob, the core elements of what made Marble Madness so much fun are prevalent in Mercury HG. The question is, can Mercury Hg remain that fun after 60 levels and will it stand shoulder to shoulder with its predecessors?"
