Why the hell does the 360 win if they look the same?
For me, I'd rather install 8 GB than switch between 3 discs. Depends on your harddrive in the end.

I have a XCM adapter to use a keyboard and Mouse/360 controller for any PS3 game.
So the PS3 Version for me.

Theres ways to get a 1tb in ur ps3 if u didn't know. You shouldn't call someone a liar before asking them how..
u can check google on how to or go to the playstation forums and plenty of members on there tell u how to get a 1tb hard drive in..but it involves breaking the hard drive caddy inside the ps3 to make it fit.

Anyways, i didnt want to respond to that. to the NOOB who said ovechkin sucks. Alex Ovechkin is the best player in the NHL hands down. Cindy Crosby is too pussy to play cause he has headaches. OV is still the only player in the leauge to have scored 60+ goals in a season since 1993. He has won 2 MVPs (Hart Trophy), 2 Goal scoring (Rocket Richards), Art Ross(Most points) 4 Pearson awards (Voted as the best player by his peers) in ONLY SIX SEASONS IN THE NHL. Please you know nothing about hockey, cause ovechkin DOES NOT SUCK.
I am not going to be ignorant and say OV sucks, thats just stupid. However you shouldn't be calling anyone a pussy while backing OV. I will never forget him leaving the game agianst Canada in the World Juniors. He was crying and complaining that he was being 'picked on'. Sure, he has sinced toughened up, but he has the beating the Canadian juniors gave him to thank for that.

Still talking about Crosby's first year in the leauge when he bitched at the refs? I'll give you that, drove me nuts too. He has since matured though, and no longer is known for that. actually, remember the Xbox 360 can instal/download all 3 disc to it's Hard Drive and play seemless from it.
This will make it a greaat play through....and the ps3 has an 8 gig instal, that's going to make it play great as well.
Not sure about the PC's choices, however ALL who will be playing Rage tonight after the midnight release will be the real winners as this game is going to "KICK ASS".
too bad for id, Dark Souls and Nba 2k12 will outsell this game..
Come on now, it's great that they made both versions identical, but then both of them lack AA, and the "megatextures" are pretty blurry.

Their peers might create a game with 60fps too, if they allowed the graphics, especially textures, to take such a hit.
Obviously you haven't looked at any of the pictures in the link I posted.
If you just looked at LOT's selective tiny screen captures (a site that wouldn't exist without publisher's ad dollars and early copies of games), then sure, it looks amazing. But if you look at raw, HD pictures such as the ones I linked to, you'd see a different tale.
And why would I want a "PS3 EXCLUSIVE" to run at 60fps if it meant such muddy textures and no AA? 30fps is very playable, and GOW3 ran at around 45fps on average with absolutely amazing graphics (no muddy textures, had amazing AA, fluid animations).
I'll take a ps3/360 game at 30fps with nice textures (and maybe AA) over a 60fps game with muddy textures. Any day.
I just think its insulting to call John a "God among his peers" when his peers have made very impressive games. Games that weren't 60fps, but some as high as 45fps with spectacular graphics and no short comings just to get a marketable framerate.

Can you explain what differences there are please? I am amazed at how good the game looks and both claim 60FPS. I could not see much tearing on the PS3 video I saw.
PS3 -- Some tearing in the outdoor area. Not much, just a little, really.
360 -- Some texture pop-in. Looked slightly blurrier, implying a sub 720p framebuffer... but it was a trade show. The screen could have just been worse, or had odd settings, relative to the PS3 station right next to it.
Carmack said that he thinks Direct3D is better than OpenGL:

It could have gone either way, but nobody was complaining the 360 version looks too dark! In those comparisons, the only way to make the PS3 version inferior was to say "it looks washed out"!
That doesn't mean the PS3's gamma wasn't the developers intention, it just means 360 fans were grasping at straw!

Glad to hear that they didn't screw PS3 owners.
However if i had both consoles i would choose the PS3 version due to the free online, dualshock 3 controller and single disk format.
I thought Carmack would screw up the PS3 version because he complained about Sonys console in the past. But i am happy that i am wrong.

Sadly, this is the most we can hope for!
the PS3 has a history of getting the short end of the performance and visuals stick when it comes to multiplatform titles, mostly due to dev laziness and their unwillingness to learn how to properly optimize their game or the system.
the fact that both versions are more or less equal (at least visually) means that the devs *did their job*. i means that they spent as much time making sure that their game ran at its best no matter what system you own.
if the PS3 is capable of doing everything that the Xbox 360 can do (and vice versa), why would you not expect the exact same product for either system?
it is better that Xbox gets a worse game than it could have got?

I earlier got the impression that it was PS3 that was the lead platform. If PS3 really is superior - as you imply - then iD has removed features to come down to Xbox level... (MS rule in effect?)

EDIT: I've just realised that's the difference in gamma that people are talking about, it gives the appearance of not being as sharp just slightly in some screens. When adjusted I guess they'd be the same.
