GRTV met up with Egosoft's Bernd Lehahn at Gamescom to discuss the prospects of X Rebirth, the reboot of the X series that turns a lot of what we knew about the series on its head. The new means for travelling, the move to only allow players control of one ship and other changes may have caught some fans unaware, but Bernd does his best to explain why these choices were made and why his team felt the need to rebuild everything from scratch.
A remake of X Rebirth: Home of Light for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift has been released into Early Access.
EGOSOFT has announced that the Birth of Light expansion and the 4.0 update will be launched for their spaceship sim X Rebirth this coming February 2016. Preorders for the expansion are now available as well.
GG3 writes: "Grand space sci-fi game, X Rebirth, has announced a permanent price drop. Additionally, as the game moves to update 3.50, a free-to-play weekend for that iteration, as well as the entire X series, will be held on March 13 to March 15, 2015 on Steam."
