GameZone's David Sanchez uncovers the Kirby conspiracy. Kirby Mass Attack was supposed to launch on September 19, but was no where to be found. Was Gears of War 3 and Cliffy B behind it?
uh... september 19th was probably kirby's shipping date, not release date. it usually takes a day or two after the "release date" before you see a game on the shelves, unless it's a HUGE release like GoW, Halo, or Smash Bros, for example.
Yes, thank you, I know what the release date is. The fact of the matter is, when it comes to most non-high profile video games, the RELEASE DATE is synonymous (that means the same!) with the SHIPPING DATE.
Perhaps it's only where I come from, but I've encountered this many times -- most memorably with Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid Prime 3. I've visited many different retailers, all of which gave me the same response: for most (lower-profile) games, games arrive in-store a day or two after its official release date.
edit: I see from where the confusion stemmed: I was a bit vague, and worded my original response pretty terribly. Fact of the matter is, do you guys really think there's some global marketing conspiracy to prevent KIRBY MASS ATTACK (a DS game) from stealing sales from GoW3? Really?
Look it up before you spew garbage. 19th was the release date, listed on numerous sites. And you think the article is real investigative journalism? You smacktard.
Excellent article, It's about time someone cracked the conspiracy surrounding our beloved fluff ball. Kirby FTW, seriously though, Kirby games are consistently excellent which is also the case for his guest appearances in other games, I've always thought that Kirby games are underrated. Currently playing the outstanding Kirby Mass Attack which I think is the DS's swan song, I highly recommend playing this gem.

I want more Kirby games. I also want Kirby ice cream bars.
Lol! This article was a fun and enjoyable read. Dammit! Now I want a Kirby ice cream bar.
Was there a conspiracy against Dragon Quest Monsters, too? I wonder ... ;)
